Fall 2009- We Are Back!

I've been just dying for Fall tv to come back. I had lots of good times with Jeff and Jordan on Big Brother, Kyra's hair was fabulous on The Closer and my mama liked More to Love. But, it's time for some REAL tv.

I wasn't sure that I would keep up with this blog but a comment from KatieBug made me see the light. I love tv. I love talking about it. If no one reads, oh well. And if I can't keep up in a few months when Baby arrives, oh well.

AI- Motown Week

I love Motown. I'm excited to see what they are going to do!

Matt - Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On"- what an awesome song. I love it. I have high hopes for Matt's performance, too. Oh, yes, I love it from the first note. Great, great job. Great vocals and stage presence.
Randy- great run at the end, challenging others for top spot
Kara- girls saying "yeah", came out of shell, solid performance
Paula- comfortable, sexy/cool vibe, tasteful, classy riffs, respectful of the melody
Simon- brilliant choice, corny bit, cool performance, voice suits the song, front runner

Kris- Marvin Gaye's "How Sweet It Is"- His face is so so cheesy when he sings! I know that some people dig it though. I think that he will do well. Smokey Robinson is impressed. I hate his shirt. I really like the song, if I don't look at him. He did a good job. I like the arrangement. I just think that the faces he makes are horrible. HORRIBLE. What a goober.
Kara- did his own, made his mark on the song, did everything right
Paula- great song, infectious personality, hit a great end note, proud
Simon- (please say something about his faces)- great version of song, believe in yourself, more conceited
Randy- consistent, keep in stride

Scott- Diana Ross and The Supreme's "You Can't Hurry Love"- I think Scott is adorable but doesn't belong this far in the competition. SIL would disagree. I think I said that last week. It's too slow. He's not bad, just not good. His piano skills are good, better than his vocals.
Paula- brought something different[from before], loved the beginning
Simon- (oh god) (yeah he don't likey), terrible, honky-tonk sound, wrong song, cheap
Randy- hotel-kinda performance, gotta take risks, not right song, average
Kara- brought tempo, wasn't crazy about taking liberties with the melodies

Megan- Stevie Wonder's "For Once In My Life"- I don't like the way it's sounding with Smokey. I like her though. I think she is pretty and cute and has gorgeous hair. I know the tattoo turns some off but not me. Maybe that is a generation thing? She looks great! I don't love the song. At least she is not just standing there doing the "quirky dance." I don't dislike the dance but I don't think she needs to do it for every song. She is kinda screechy at the end.
Randy- likes outfit, song was train wreck, didn't fit with the jazzy thing, rushed, didn't feel it
Kara- suggests "My Guy", bad notes, weird phrasing, taken over by song
Paula- stunning beauty, agrees with the others, keys wrong
Simon- horrible, vocals all over, in trouble

Anoop- "Oh Baby, Oh Baby" from The Miracles and Smokey Robinson- I'm anxious to see his performance. I like him a lot. He's adorable. Oh, the cheesy sitting on the edge of the stage beginning- yuch. He looks good. I like the song, his voice is great. It's a little boring. That may just be the song.
Kara- a hard song to sing- connected to some parts and didn't in some, overall good
Paula- new confidence, phrasing and delivery spot-on and sweet
Simon- great vocal, looked half asleep, boring (totally agree!)
Randy- turn it back up, nice, little pitchy

Michael- Temptations' "Ain't Too Proud To Beg"- Let me just say that I believe that he or Scott should've gone home last week. I don't know why he is still here over Alexis Grace. He seems to enjoy performing, which makes it fun. He has a nice voice there is just something I don't love about it. I don't like all the "showboating" I call it.
Paula- felt Las Vegas loungey (YES!), didn't reach high notes
Simon- couldn't wait for it to end, screamed and shouted, not good
I missed Randy and Kara- they didn't like it either

Lil- Martha and the Vandella's "Heat Wave"- She should just kill this week. This seems to be right up her alley. Says that she "wants to make them proud, the one's who have paved the way"- so sweet. I love her look this week. She looks great!! I like the hair. I don't like the song choice. She needs some kinda pronunciation training. The way she pronounces some words just kills me and you can hear it in the song. Her vocal talent is good though.
Randy- didn't like the front of the song, not the right kinda song for her, has a big voice (I agree that it wasn't the best song)
Kara- need more, not good song choice, screaming
Paula- disagrees, looked unbelievable, fresh vocal
Simon- authentic tribute but not a good song, suggested "Heard It Through the Grapevine", one of the best singers in the competition

Adam- Smokey Robinson/Miracles's "Tracks of My Tears" It's no secret to anyone that I DO NOT like Adam. I strongly do not like him. I am not familiar with this song so maybe I can just appreciate his vocals. He should wear his makeup the same on stage that he did at practice. Oh, I like the look!! Um, never mind, I know this song. DUH! I have to say that I really like the performance. A lot. OMG a standing O from Smokey- what an honor.
Kara- one of the best performances of the night
Paula- own league, loved the clean look, handsome, exciting
Simon- THE best performance of the night, Smokey is brilliant, emerged as a star(Adam, not Smokey)
Randy- hot, da bomb
(good, no talking after- I usually fast forward that anyway)

Danny- The Temptations' "Get Ready"- I love Danny. He is one of my favorites, if not the favorite. He looks good, better than the big white coat. I love the energy! I love the performance. He didn't follow Smokey's advice to sing where the back ground singers sing. I think that it's good though. I liked the front of the song more though.
Paula- undeniable, identifiable, reliable
Simon- clumsy and amateurish, good singer
Randy- Levi Stubbs, not the best, loved the energy
Kara- good not great

Allison- The Temptations' "Papa Was A Rolling Stone"- wants to show her "funk side" and I think she will. I hope she remembers the lyrics on the stage. I liked the top of her outfit and her hair and makeup. She is seriously an amazing singer. I can't believe that child is so young. She laid.it.down.
Randy- dopest singers, blazing hot
Kara- Oh My God!, amazing, gift from God
Paula- [has a drawn on mustache-um,ok], awesome, beautiful
Simon- survivor, one of her best, well done

American Idol: Week 2, Country Week

I have not written here in awhile! I've been so far behind on my show-watching that I just hurry and watch stuff and don't blog. I thought that since I am sick in bed today, I'd blog while watching AI and other shows. Hopefully, I'll get pretty caught up.

It's country week at AI and I am excited. I love country music, grew up with it, and listen to it all the time. I am also excited because I don't think that everyone will do well with it and that is always fun! I hated Adam Lambert last week but was in the minority, so I just can't wait to see what song he butchers/over performs/shouts.

Ya'll do know that I have a little crush on Ryan Seacrest, right? Just letting everyone know that.

Michael Sarver- I think that he will be okay. I like the song that he is singing, "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up," which was originally done by Garth Brooks. It's a song that is very fast and wordy(I know all the words), don't know if it's such a great choice. I like his outfit. He stumbles on some words and doesn't open his mouth wide enough. He is not Garth Brooks, no way. Overall, it wasn't bad. It wasn't great.
JUDGES- Randy- cool song choice, didn't bring out his vocal capabilities
Kara- had some good spots, showed his personality, impressive that he remembered the words, misses the big notes from him
Paula- great song, allowed him to have fun, genre suits him well
Simon- should've been good, couldn't understand the words, bit clumsy, would give it a 1.2 on a scale of 1-10
I'd give it a 6.

Allison Iraheta- Great song choice, "Blame It On Your Heart," from Patty Loveless, who I love. Randy Travis says that he is not sure he's ever heard maturity in a voice like he did in hers. Her outfit is cute but I don't like her hair. I think that she is singing the song well but this is not her forte.
JUDGES- Kara- could sing the alphabet, every week gets better
Paula- another rock solid performance, rock edge, choose songs that allow vulnerability
Simon- good, a little bit tuneless at parts, seemed was struggling with words, precocious
Randy- not precocious but dope

Kris Allen- He is singing one of my FAVORITE songs. Blue and I used to dance to it in our living room many years ago during some rough times. It was originally written and performed by Bob Dylan but has been covered a lot. Garth Brooks did a great cover for the soundtrack of Hope Floats, a movie and soundtrack that I love. I hope he does a good job. Is it a good idea for him to be sans guitar? I don't like the word grouping(arrangement), it's awkward and slow and cheesy. His voice is good but, I don't like the boy band-y spin. I don't know what it is.
JUDGES- Paula- pleasantly surprised, honest and pure, pitch moments,
Simon- terrific(he is into the boy band-y sound), was in control, wasn't over-the-top, genuinely thinks he has a shot
Randy- went out on a limb (what??), loved it, tender
Kara- didn't sound country, was beautiful
(I guess I was wrong?? I still think what I thought)

Lil Rounds- Read this week that Lil is her real name, not a nickname. She says that she is nervous about putting her R&B into the country song. She is doing "Independence Day" by Martina McBride. She is slowing it down and the beginning is a little strange to me. I like the chorus much better.
JUDGES- Randy- interesting, agrees with me about the front and end of the song, was a'ight for him (and me too)
Kara- talks about the second half being better, gives props for singing a song that was different
Paula- looks beautiful, should not have sung two verses
Simon- calls her Little, uncomfortable, wedding song, wasn't Lil (aka Little)

Adam Lambert- Ok, *clearing throat*, I have a few problems with this kid. I am not down with all the freaking makeup. We get it, you are gay, you are "different", whatever. He needs to use a lighter hand with the bronzer and eye liner. I HATE that gold lame' jacket and necklace and gloves. NO! He's doing "Ring Of Fire," a song by Johnny Cash, a favorite of ours. I hate the arrangement in practice. It's not as bad on stage but his over singing and cheeseballness are just too much for me. Johnny is rolling over in his grave. Oh, goodness, the end is awful. All that wailing, really? Wonder what mom thought since she LOVES him. Ugh!
JUDGES- Kara- never seen that kind of interpretation, got the drama, the arrangement was strange, but she liked it
Paula- true to himself, great song choice, loved the Middle Eastern sound
Simon- what the hell was that, don't go to Nashville, indulgent rubbish (I TOTALLY agree), horrific
Randy- Nine Inch Nails doing country, fresh

Scott MacIntyre- Gus loves this guy. She voted for him last night while we were in the car and she hadn't even heard him. Not voted once or twice either. She (and her mom) are single-handily keeping him in this competition. I like this guy, of course, who doesn't? He is sweet and likable and tries very hard. I don't think that he is all that good of a singer though. I like the piano. He is doing Martina McBride's "Wild Angels." Everyone is slowing down the songs. I think that it works for him. I thought it was okay. His hair looks so much better. It's not as puffy.
JUDGES- Paula- lovely performance, piano a crutch, mix it up
Simon- calls Paula stupid, similar to last week, likes him a lot, forgettable
Randy- looking for hot and crazy vocals but not getting it, safe
Kara- up your game, bring class and poise to the stage

Alexis Grace- "Jolene" by Dolly Parton, who is an old favorite. I loved her when I was a kid. That is one of my favorite songs that she does, too. I have high hopes for this performance. Her vocals are really good, of course. It was kinda weird to me- the styling of it.
JUDGES- Randy- pitchy
Kara- lost her edge, should've done "Last Name" or "Before He Cheats" or something edgy, flat
Paula- song was effective, artistic approach, likes the vulnerable side
Simon- okay, sound alike, not original, forgettable

Danny Gokey- I love Danny! I think that he did such an awesome job last week. He's doing "Jesus, Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. I like the coat but maybe not in white. He has such a great voice but I don't know if this is the right song. There are so many that he could've chosen. I like the chorus better than the verse. I like the second part better than the first. I just love him.
JUDGES- Kara- agrees with me about front and back of song,
Paula- brilliant, Carrie Underwood would buy that record
Simon- doesn't think that C.U. would buy it, doesn't like the coat
Randy- agrees with Kara, gotta support the verses, great singer

Anoop Desai- OMG, all these people are doing my favorites. He's doing a known favorite of mine, "Always On My Mind" by the great Willie Nelson. I love it. It's my favorite performance of the night so far.
JUDGES- Paula- he's back, proud of song choice, touched her
Simon- from zero to hero, favorite performance of the night, deserves to be there, glad to have him back
Randy- can really sing, liked the arrangement
Kara- amazing, best performance of the night

Megan Joy- She is doing "I Go Out Walking After Midnight" by Patsy Cline. I think that she is going to do really great. I love her dress but her boobs look weird. I love her hair. I liked it. It was cute. I thought there were some vocal problems though.
JUDGES- Randy- was nervous, all worked, good work
Kara- perfect song and look, compliments her spirit because she has the flu and did well
Paula- tells us that Megan has been in the hospital and did well
Simon- should have the flu all the time, looks beautiful but a little too made up

Matt Giraud- Is doing "So Small" by Carrie Underwood. His voice is really good. I like the arrangement. I liked it a lot.
JUDGES- Kara- true artist, amazing, love
Paula- authentic, honest, pierced hearts
Simon- doesn't have enough credit, out sang Danny, remind him of Michale Buble, one of the best of the night
Randy- best tonight, got it going on

I liked Anoop and Matt the best.
Michael Sarver or (sorry, Gus!) Scott need to go.

Top Chef in New Orleans

Last week's episode made me crave gumbo and crawfish. It is very cool to see New Orleans on the show. Did ya'll know that Emeril Lagasse is a yankee? He is connected to New Orleans because he became executive chef of Commander's Palace in 1982 and then he opened his own restaurant, Emeril's, in 1990.

Anyway, back to the show. I didn't blog about last week's episode. Jeff came back and he had to win to move on to this last round and he didn't. Carla won and I think she maybe could win it all. Fabio went home last week and I was so upset. I loved him! So, Carla, Hosea and Stefan are left for the finale and to compete for the Top Chef title.

The three finalists have breakfast on the Creole Queen a padlewheeler in the Mississippi River. Carla talks about how she just needs to do the "food that got her here" to win. Hosea talks about how Carla and Stefan own their own businesses and he doesn't. Stefan just has a cuss-filled rant about how he's the best and Hosea isn't. I think the judges said differently last week, buddy.

After breakfast, they go to the Historic New Orleans Collection (which I've never been to but would like to) and meet Padma and Tom in the courtyard. Tom tells them their final challenge is a "pretty simple one" and that they have to cook them, "the best three course meal of their life." (Umm, just noting that Tom looks especially good today. His shoulders look extra broad in that black/gray coat- love that!) He tells them that can use whatever proteins they want and that they will be serving head-to-head. He reminds them that it's a three-course-meal and that they do not have to make a dessert.

Padma tells they that they will be cooking their meal at Commander's Palace. How appropriate that we just discussed that restaurant. I've never been there either. I've never eaten there. She tells them that they will serve the next day to a table of "12 judges and distinguished guests." They have 2 hours to prep at the Audubon Tea Room that night and then 3 hours to cook the next day at CP.

Tom then tells them that they also get help. Carla says that she doesn't think it will be previous contestants because they already brought Jeff back. Then we see three contestants from seasons past finales- Marcel, Casey and Richard. There is a block of knives in front of the contestants. They will draw them to see in what order they will chose their sous chef. Carla goes first because she won the last challenge. She gets 3. Stefan gets offered to pull next but lets Hosea pull and he gets 1. Stefan has 2.

Hosea says that Marcel reminds him too much of Stefan. He picks Richard. Stefan picks Marcel which is so appropriate. Carla gets Casey and I think that is good, too. I like them and that is who I want to win as of now. Go Carla!

They are dismissed and head to the Audubon Tea Room. Everyone starts looking for the proteins immediately. Hosea grabs the foie gras and Hosea and Marcel are looking for it. Stefan pitches a fit because Hosea got all of it and he says (Stefan) that he wants two loaves. Hosea tries to compromise and Stefan acts like an ass. What a shocker! Carla picks shrimp, it seems. Hosea talks about ideas. Stefan then sees that Hosea has all the caviar and gets all upset.

Casey wants to convince Carla to sous-vide the sirloin, a technique she has never done. She seems a little uneasy. Hosea says that he noticed what they were talking about and wonders if Casey is taking over. Stefan tells us that his mom was a chef in his native Finland and that cooking simple food is "sexier than doing a bunch of bullsh**." There is more running around and then, the two hours is up and everyone says goodbye.

It's the next day and we see some more NOLA sights-streetcar, Bourbon Street, etc. The contestants get to the CP kitchen where they find Tom standing near some weird ingredients. It's an alligator (which does taste like chicken), blue crab (which is one of my favorite things) and some fish (red?). He tells them that they are adding one more course. Each of them will have to make an appetizer using some traditional New Orleans ingredients. One will cook with crab, one with red fish (yay, I was right) and one with the alligator.

He tells them that in order to decide who cooks with what protein, they will use a King Cake. AHHH! King Cakes are haunting me! He tells them that whoever gets the baby gets to choose their protein and choose which protein each other chef will use. Hosea tells us that, basically, no one wants the gator. Hosea ends up getting the baby. He chooses the red fish, gives the crab to Carla and the gator to Stefan.

Hosea decides to do his hors d'oeurve as a grilled corn cake with Creole Remoulade and a piece of blackened red fish- oh yummy! He thinks that this dish "represents New Orleans."

Then we see Stefan talking about how he doesn't know what to do with Mr Alligator. He whacks off the tail and realizes that is where all the meat is. He decides to make a soup with it. Now, I have not ever heard of alligator soup. Turtle soup, yes, alligator, no.

Carla alos decides to do a soup. She is doing a shiso soup with the crab and chayote salsa on top with Asian flavors. She admits that the pressure of the appetizer has her so rattled that she can't focus on the rest of the meal. Come on, C!

Now, on to the food:
Hosea
-Trio of Sashimi (raw fish)
-Scallops & Foie Gras with pan perdu (which is so good- pan perdu)
-Venison (deer meat) loin with wild mushrooms
He says that venison is his favorite meat. It is a good meat that is very flavorful. It's pretty lean too. He says that he doesn't do a dessert because it's not his strong point.

Stefan
-Halibut & Salmon Carpaccio (served raw and sliced thin)
-Squab with Braised Red Cabbage & Schupfudeln (German; potato noodles)
-Ice Cream & Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Syrup & Lollipops
He says that he is doing a dessert because he would want one. He's doing something with the Nitrogen tank.

Carla
-Seared Snapper with Saffron Aioli (sauce)& Crouton
-Sous-Vide New York Strip Steak, Potato Rod with Merlot Sauce
-Cheese Tart with Apple Coins & Marmalade
She said that she is focusing on the sauces. She wanted to French food and sauces are big in French food. Then, she wanted the cheese course because in a typical French menu you have fish, beef, and cheese course. I like it! She says that she had in mind to do a cheese tart and Casey suggested a Bleu Cheese Souffle.

Then, after the commercials, we are back and see some more lovely New Orleans things- including a plate of Cafe Du Monde beniets. We have a CdM in our mall. OMG, I want some. Then we are shown some of the guests arriving at CP and I see Gail, Padma, Fabio and Rocco DiSpirto, who I love. When was this that Tom and Rocco were so close to me and I didn't know. AGH!

Padma thanks the guests and especially Ti Martin for hosting. Padma is drinking what looks like an orangey colored martini- yum!

Hosea's appetizer gets passed first. It's offically "Blackened Red Fish on Corn Cake with Creole Remoulade & Micro Cilantro." It seems that everyone liked-or maybe loved-it.
Stefan's app is next and it's officially "Alligator Soup with Celeriac, Parsley Leaves & Puff Pastry." Everyone seems to like it, too. I heard "lovely", "good consistency" and "good job."
Carla is last and hers is "Shiso Soup with Blue Crab & Chayote Thai Salsa." Everyone likes hers too. Tom said that the crab was cooked well.

Everyone (the judges and guests) sits down now at a beautiful, long table. The three contestants come out and Padma introduces them to the guests- Rocco, Hubert Keller (chef and restaurant owner), Branford Marslis (Jazz Musician), Fabio, Susan Spicer (chef/owner of Bayona in NOLA), John Besh (chef/restaurant owner-August in NOLA), Tory Mcphail (executive chef of Commander's Palace), Ti Martin (proprietor of CP), Gail Simmons, Toby Young, and the head judge, Chef Tom Colicchio.

The first courses from all of the contestants gets served. Everyone is talking first about liking Carla's fish (seared snapper). Ti Martin likes her fish but doesn't think Hosea's popped- in the mouth. Others comment that it needed more seasoning. Stefan's dish gets some diss from Chef Tom. Chef Hubert Keller likes it though.

The second courses get served. They all look good to me but I'd want that one from Hosea with the scallops and the pan perdu. Gail says that Carla's sirloin is tough. Tom says that this is the problem with sous-vide cooking, it loses spontaneity. I admit that I have no idea what that means. Ti Martin says, "The lady can make a sauce." Tom says that the dish doesn't remind him of Carla. Oh, no! Carla- why did you let Casey sway you? Stefan's dish gets some praise for a well cooked game bird. Gail says that it was true to him as a chef. She also loves Hosea's pan pardu. Rocco is tired of eating Foie Gras.

Time for the last course. Hosea says that Stefan's dessert looks good. Stefan says something rude about doing venison. Carla is having trouble with her souffle's! She ruins the souffle by boiling and curdling it. She decides not to serve it. I don't know what she is serving. ? She says that she is disappointed. Hers is an apple tart coin with bleu cheese and walnut crumble. She tells them that her "Bleu cheese souffle, didn't souffle."

Gail says that if anyone could've made a good dessert it was Carla and she is disappointed. Chef Tory says that he is glad to finish Stefan's meal with a dessert. He thinks it is the best dish of the series. That seems weird to me. Chef Tom thinks it's "eh." Gail thinks it's "1982." Hosea's dish gets a little praise. Fabio is asked, by Padma, to choose between Stefan and Hosea's overall meal. He chooses Hosea because of his closing dish. Chef Hubert Keller says that it's better to go out on a limb and do the dessert than to "play it safe" with the venison. I am wondering if this means that Carla is completely out?

Now, it's time for Judges Table. Gail starts by saying that Carla's app was really well done. Then they discuss her first course and how it was great. Then, the second course, the beef and potato was discussed. The sauce was great but the texture of the meat was not. I am thinking that things don't look so great for Carla. Tom asks her how much of an influence Casey was on her. She tells them that it was Casey's idea to sous-vide the beef. Tom raises his eyebrows. Then, on to the souffle, or the lack thereof. She tells them about what happened to the poor souffle. Tom asks her, "Why the souffle" and she says that Casey suggested it. Tom says that she allowed her sous chef to talk her out of cooking the food that got her to the finale.

On to Hosea. His appetizer was excellent. Gail asks him if he'd cooked Red Fish before and he says that he has maybe once. They discuss the strong flavors of it. They banter about him "sticking it to Stefan" with the gator. Then, Padma asks a dreaded question- "Were you happy with the..." Anytime she asks that, you should't be happy. They are now discussing his sashimi. They tell him that it looked good but didn't taste good. Then, for his second course, he tells them that he did the pan perdu as a "nod to New Orleans." Tom says that it was good and Gail says it was his best. Then, as for his venison, they say that it was good and well cooked. Toby asks if he thought not having an ending (dessert) for his meal was a risk. He says that he didn't think that one was necessary.

Lastly is Stefan. Gail asks him if he's cooked with alligator before. He laughs and tells her no. He talks about it's "weird texture," which is very true. The judges compliment the dish. Gail and Tom talk about the watered-down taste of his carpaccio. Tom says something about the way he prepared it which was freezing the fish so that he could cut it thinly. Moving on to the squab... Gail says she really liked it. Toby says it was his strongest. Tom agrees. And then Tom asks him why he did a dessert. He says that he thinks it completes the meal.

Padma asks why they deserve the win. Carla gets emotional when she answers and Stefan hugs her. They are dismissed so the judges can talk. The first thing that Padma says is that Carla is out of the running. Now, they compare Hosea and Stefan.

And the winner is..... HOSEA!

The Biggest Loser- Blue vs Black

Big, big stuff on this week's two one-hour episodes. There was a challenge where one person from each team had to do up-downs in the mud. The first person to 100 won and got to pick whether their team went blue (Bob) or black (Jillian). The person who came in last had to change trainers. The teams in the middle flipped a blue/black coin.

I don't know if I could do 5 up-downs. Plus, in the mud, no thank you. These players soldiered on though. They did not want to change trainers and I do not blame them. It was between Tara and Sione in the end and Tara won. She is very impressive. Her and Laura started off with Jillian and she wanted to stay with her. Kristin and Helen were fighting not to be in last place but Kristin beat her out so, Helen was last and had to switch to Jillian.

The team that came after Tara was Sione and Felipe. They flipped a coin and it landed on black. They were originally with Bob and so they were devastated. Then Dane flipped and he landed blue. He was originally with Jill. I don't remember how it all happened after that but the final teams were-

Blue (Bob)- Kristin and Cathy (stayed), Dane (switched), Ron (stayed but had to break up from his son), Mandy and Aubrey (switched).
Black (Jillian)- Helen (switched), Tara and Laura (stayed), Felipe and Sione (switched), Mike (switched and broke up from his dad).

Everyone was upset. No one wanted to break up teams or to switch trainers. Bob and his former team had a meltdown. I don't really blame them, though. I'd be so mad if I weren't on Bob's team. I would be really mad if I was and then had to switch. I couldn't work with Jillian. I think that you need to be pushed but she is a bitch.

There was a 24-hour challenge of riding a stationary bike. Whichever team rode the most miles in 24 hours won. The black team seems stronger and more together right out of the gate. They have Tara and Feilipe and Sione. Plus, they decide that everyone will ride for 30 minutes and then switch. The blue team just seems to be riding til they can't anymore and switching. In the end, after Mandi tries to get them to quit!, the black team wins. They win a three pound advantage at the weigh-in.

At the weigh-in blue team goes first. Dane loses 13 pounds which puts him at a 100 pound weight loss in 8 weeks. That is mind blowing and it's a Biggest Loser record. Kristin loses 10 pounds. Cathy loses 14 (and I think that I would DIE if my mom lost 14 pounds in one week). Ron loses 5 and so does Aubrey. Mandi loses 7.

Next up is the black team. They have the 3 pound advantage added to their scoreboard right away. I was going back and forth (in the room) so I don't remember each person's weights but, they end up winning. They would've won without the 3 pound advantage.

It's time to eliminate someone from the blue team and the obvious choice is Ron. Yes, he's a great guy and is trying hard but he is not going to pull big numbers and he cannot help during challenges. He asks that the team send Dane home because he had the support needed. Dane is all, "What?" In the end, they end up sending Dane home with 3 votes. 2 votes for Ron and then 1 random vote from Aubrey to Kristin.

Ok- are they nuts? This is ridiculous! They are already underdogs to the black team, in my opinion. They get rid of the big guy who still has weight to lose. He's still over 300 pounds. Ron is in the high 300 but he is not going to pull a big number. He can hardly walk. I think that this was a bad decision and Bob won't like it.

Private Practice- High Emotions

I am almost finished watching "Homeward Bound" which aired a few weeks ago. It's the one with the CF family and the gay older ladies. I just had to write down my feelings about it, even though I don't think anyone reads this blog.

I cried from the get go on this episode. The little girl, Gracie, ohmylanta! She is such a sweetheart. That is really, really heart-wrenching. The dad cannot be with her as she is dying. I am not a parent but I don't even think that you parents can say for sure what you would do. I know that you tend to be with your weakest child. How can you decide which is weaker though when the 9 year old is dying and you have a 2 year old with CF? How is either of them weaker? Or stronger?

I love Charlotte. I know that she is not supposed to be lovable but I do love her. I think she is smart and strong and beautiful and she is southern. I love that her mother "took to bed with the vapors." How very southern. I love that her brothers are named Duke and Landry. I love that she calls her daddy, "Big Daddy." That is what I call my FIL.

I was very emotional when she had to take Big Daddy off of life-support. I suppose that Cooper doing it was sweet and romantic. I don't know if I could properly appreciate Blue doing that. I'd always (maybe) secretly (or not so) think he killed my daddy. When she became physically effected by the thought of what had happened on the plane- I related to that kind of grief.

WHEW! I need a drink after that show. Where the hell is the wine bottle opener?

The Biggest Loser Week 3

For this week's episode (Tuesday, January 27), I will try to be shorter and better than the last two.

Jillian's team said they would vote for Joelle to go home but they didn't. They did it for strategy and it's a game. I get that. What makes me mad is that they went and talked to Bob's team and told them they wouldn't do it. There was no reason for that.

Why is Blaine of the black team telling Felipe and friends that he sorry or whatever? That is stupid too. He just keeps doing unnecessary things that make him look like a bigger jackass. I do understand why Felipe is mad but I don't like that he got all crazy mad. I HATE when men yell. It's just a thing with me.

So, Bob's team is all pumped up! Good for them. Maybe I'll get to learn who is on which team. Right now, I just don't.

So, we get to look at the "homies" and see what they are doing.
Aubrey (yellow/Mandi)- has 5 kids (that I see) and she looks pretty wrapped up in them, understandably. She is working out during The Biggest Loser. It always pumps me up.
Laura (green/Tara)- is partying at a club in South Beach Miami, FL. Dancing is a good workout.
Sione (blue/Felipe)- is working out hard at the gym.
Dave-(orange/Daniel)- smoking cigs, eating fried chicken, and hot dogs like we saw last week

Joelle just aggravates me. She drives me cah-ray-zee. The talk-talk-talk (and saying stupid stuff) and saying nothing. Wow, she had a good workout when she shut up. I know, I know, I know, I talk a lot too but not while I'm working out. Plus, I'm not annoying :)

Another Super Bowl tv show (I watched Top Chef before this), how fun! I love football. Maybe I'll get some good recipes for Sunday. Some that Blue will eat too.

Blaine's wife is having a baby! I don't really know what to think of this. Not that she's having a baby, that is obviously great, but that he isn't there. I guess it's good that he is losing weight so he can be with his wife and kids for a long time. I get that but I don't know if it'd fly with me. I expect Ali to say, "We've got your wife in labor right here!" And Vanna White the tv, you know? I didn't expect her to let him go home. He gets to be there for the birth of his fourth child.

Look at Ali's pregnant belly! She gave birth to a daughter, Megan, a few weeks ago. She looks so great pregnant.

Curtis Stone is the Take Home Chef. Ever see that on TLC? He's cute.

My thoughts about the challenge- they must teach them about nutrition off camera, right? I have no idea how much the calories are and I know more about nutrition now than I ever did. Also, I want that seven-layer dip.

How handy to skew chicken on rosemary branches or whatever. So, mustard and honey and rosemary, I can do that. I guess 250 calories. I have no idea though. (So, beat the meat to lower calories! That is what Chef Curtis tells us in the Tips) The answer is 230. I was over by 20. Dan guessed 220 and he wins the two pound pass and a visit for Dave.

Curtis goes to see Dave. That is good for Dave if he listens. Dave says he sees a "tall guy with pointy hair." That is funny. Curtis is gonna show Dave how to cook and SHOP- at Wal Mart. I need to buy and cook with more fresh herbs. I never do that because I'm intimidated. I can do it though.

I don't think I've ever used coriander. I guess I can just put it on flat chicken breasts. I'm very amused and intrigued by the flat chicken breasts. I need a mallet or something.

Uhh, Bob jumping on that platform thing- that was awesome. I don't think that I can jump as high as Kristin did. That is really amazing to see. She weighed 350 pounds just 3 weeks ago. I love this show.

Blaine has a son! That is so sweet. He gets to see all of his kids. He has two boys and two girls. Oh! The little boy crying for daddy is sad. I wish that Blue felt the same way Blaine did about health though. I wish he was motivated to get healthy. (P.S.- the baby boy's name-Breckin. What do you think of that? I don't love it).

Challenge time and it's football. UGH- I'm remembering that ole whatsherface won the football challenge last season. What is her name? I can't remember right now. The one from Houma that drove me crazy. oh, Vicki, that is it. The challenge is sprints. I always try to think about myself doing it. This would be hard but the key would be steady.

I don't like the football-in-the-bin thing. My feelings would be hurt so easy. Plus, I'd get so paranoid and pissed and all that. I guess that is the point. Helen wins immunity and that means that she will bring her daughter, Shannon, back. Her daughter was recently arrested. She didn't exactly look like she was the biggest loser.

I would love to do this show with my mama. We would lose weight from laughing.

Bob says to eat Fiber One cereal. I love that stuff. Even Blue liked it. I eat it all the time. It's important for me to drink milk, I think. I didn't drink it for so long and now I love it. I drink skim. It has 90 cals per serving.

Is it bad that I want chips and salsa? Yes, Kristen, it is. Don't worry, I'm not eating it. I feel kinda nauseated.

Does Bob have sparkle on his bike shorts? No, Bob, no! I actually saw a message board where people were wondering if he was gay. I love Bob. I love him a lot but I knew he was gay from the first show. Doesn't bother me, I'm just saying. I would love for Jillian to train Blue. He'd get SO crazy wit her in his face. She would push him though.

I'm so proud of Dan! I am also proud of Jillian for training him how he needed to be trained. I don't think that bullying is right for every person. I know that she can't baby people because they would never do anything but, I don't always think that disrespectful bullying is right.

Weigh in time and I wonder who is going home. I would like for it to be Joelle. She seemed to be working hard this week though. Maybe it'll be Blaine because he went home. Look at Bob's tight black pants/jeans! Yeah. Oh the "homies" are back! I wonder if their weight is going to count? If so, some folks (Dan and Dave) are in trouble.

I always wonder if Alison has an earpiece. I think that yes, she does. Someone telling her the percentages and how much each person needs to lose to stay above the yellow line and all of that. What do you think? Yes? So, Helen lost 6 pounds. That is really great! But she has immunity so it doesn't matter for the game.

Brown team (Ron/Mike, father/son) are favorites of Bob's according to Bob. Mike lost 9 pounds but feels like he let everyone down. They both say they "failed" and that makes me so sad. 16 pounds total this week.
Black team (Blaine/Dane, cousins with rhyming names) are on Jillian's team. Dane lost 15 pounds in a week. Blaine lost 11 pounds. That is just ridiculous. 26 pound lost this week.
Felipe (blue/Sione) needs more than 12 pounds. He lost 13. I love his excitement.

Jillian's Trainer Tip is about snacking. She says chew Extra sugar free gum. She likes the peppermint. Ok, good to know. But, mint always helps me stay away from food.

Tara (green/Laura) cusses. She needs to have lost more than 10 pounds! Whoa that is a lot. She freaking lost 12. 12 pounds!! WHAT??? If I lost weight like that (um, if I worked out like that), I'd be HOT in no time.
Kristin (purple/Cathy) is one of my favorites. She needs more than 12 pounds. That is really a big job. I love her mom saying that she was checking her out while she walks to the scale. Kristin loses 12 pounds. OMG! OH. MY. GOODNESS!!
Mandi (yellow/Aubrey) needs to lose more 8 pounds. She lost 10 pounds. That is IT. I'm sending in my fat tape to the show. Oh, and I don't want Kristin to go home.
Dan (orange/Dave) needs more than 15 pounds to bring ole Dave back and stay in the game. Oh, he loses 12. It's really good for him because he is out of the 400s. It's not enough though. He's lost 60 pounds in 3 weeks. Brown team is facing elimination and purple is safe. Kristin makes me laugh when she says, "I feel like... I don't know."
Joelle (silver/Carla) is talking about blah, blah, blah.... I don't even know how much she is supposed to lose. She loses 10 pounds and now Carla loves her. They are yelling. Again with the light...

It's the orange team and the brown team up for elimination. Who do I want to go? I know that Dan needs it but so does Mike. I don't want the brown team to go because I like them. I like Dan, I guess but Dave- whew! He didn't even try at home. What will happen?

Ron makes everyone (including me) cry. He begs for his son to stay. He says that a father is supposed to protect his son and he didn't. Daniel talks from the heart and everyone is loving him. Then DAVE pipes up. WTF is he talking about? He is an idiot. Does he think that he is just gonna eat some whacked chicken and be ok??

Pink is on Bob's team and so is Ron and Mike-brown. She votes for orange.
Yellow is on Jillian's team and so is Dan. She votes for brown. Ugh, pattern.
Purple (Oh, I have not mentioned that I HATE the colors of Kristin's hair-makeover). She is on Bob's team and she votes for orange.
Black is on Jillian's team. He votes for brown to go.
Tara is on Jillian's home. She starts chewing Dave's ass. Good for her. Ali is looking at her like she is crazy. Dave is gonna speak. He says that his heart is not there. Then why did he go?
Silver is on Bob's team. They vote for orange.
Felipe is on Bob's team. He vote is tie-breaking. He tells Dave that HE has a wife and kids and feels trapped too but he needs to be here. He votes for orange. Good. They are eliminated. It's too bad for Dan. I hope he does it. Now, he knows that he can.

I'd like to see them both after they've been home. Wow! Look at Dan. He's running and looking so much thinner. He gets to go off of his diabetes meds and that is awesome. He has lost 101 pounds so far. David says that he quit smoking and he's lost 46 pounds.

Tonight's Lost episode was called "Jughead". I just watched it on DVR and I have to write down what I'm thinking.

Penny didn't die in childbirth like I thought she might.
Penny and Desmond name their child after the man they hate? Ummm?? And that child is so cute!
Daniel Faraday did something to Theresa whateverherlastnameis- but what? Did he do whatever he did to the mice to her? Who is she?
I knew that his mother would be in LA. Now, he'll get to meet up with the O6, right? Is Daniel's mother one of them? Or, or, or...
Sawyer- Oh the hot!
Charles Widmore sends Desmond to LA (kinda) and that is where Ben is right now. I guess. Anyway, Ben told Charles W that he was going to kill Penny. Remember? Charles Widmore killed Alex (indirectly), Ben's daughter, so Ben is gonna kill his.
Also, Charles Widmore is an OTHER! Did we know that already?
Ellie is someone that we know or connected to someone we know. Is she Daniels' mother? Is that why he said she looks familiar?
Who is Charlotte? What is happening to her?
I read somewhere that the "lights" (the time travel ones) are happening every 108 minutes. You know, like in the hatch? Is this true or possible?
I don't want Sawyer and Juliet together but it looks like that is going to happen. Or something will happen between them.

There is no new episode of Gossip Girl this week. I'm just watching the last one from last week. Some things I have to say before I start-
::Who is Serena and Erik's father?
::Do you think that it's weird for Serena and Dan to date if their parents do too?

Onto the episode...
::I love that coat that Serena is wearing. I want her hair so badly.

::I miss Chuck's old hair. I love him though- bad, bad boy and all. Pink socks-bold choice!

::The new teacher, Miss (Rachel)Carr, is adorable. She was in the short-lived but really good tv show, Related. Her name is Laura Breckenridge and she is reportedly going to be around DAN for awhile... hmmmm.

:: Does Lily feel guilty- about her and Rufus, about Bart? I don't know but I think that she really does love Chuck.

:: S's dress for the opera is good. Lily's is better. I really like Chuck and Nate in a tux. Dan's long tie is very hip and fresh. Vanessa looks great in red.

:: Why do Dan and Serena create problems that are not? They want to be tortured, right? Is it just teenager-y or what? They kinda bore me though. I HATED the gross Aaron that she was dating though.

:: Do you notice Kelly Rutherford's baby belly? She is wearing the big roomy dress, they hide it behind banisters and Rufus' hand.

:: Hmmm, Lily adopting Chuck... She doesn't talk to her own children before she does it? I'm glad that she did though.

:: OMG! What is Jack doing to Lily? I'm nauseated. Oh! Oh! Chuck rescued her. I'm teary and I have goosebumps. The song playing doesn't help the feeling. Whew!

Loser Catch Up

I have two Biggest Loser episodes on my DVR in the living room. I record shows on two different DVRs. I know I have a problem, no need to tell me. For those of you who don't read my main blog, I've been staying with my cousins at their house. They are ages 15,13,9 and 8 and they don't watch tv during the school week. I didn't have time to watch all my shows because I was so busy with them.

So I am just now watching the January 13th and 20th episodes of BL. Let's discuss, shall we?

So the 1/13 episode begins with the contestants who are left talking about the big twist. The twist was that after the first weigh-in, 9 contestants went home, leaving their partners behind alone. Everyone seems shocked by the twist. All of the "campus" contestants seem up for the challenge, if not a little sad. I wonder as I'm watching the beginning, will we see a lot of the 9 "home" contestants?

Ah, we do see the "homies" telling their families and friends about the twist. They have 30 days to lose as much weight as possible but the "campus" contestants must do the most. They have to bring their partners back by staying in the game. We see the "homies" talking with trainers and cleaning out their pantries. Then we see David ordering two hot dogs. Well, way to go!

Back on the campus, the contestants meet up with Allison for a challenge. A limo pulls up and Ali tells them that this is their first temptation. She is offering them $5,000 to walk across a line that is drawn on the ground. If they do though, they (and their whole team) are out of the game for good. No one bites (but they talk about fried chicken a lot) and she ups it to $10,000.

We find out that silver team lady is living at home with her mom. Her mom is apparently supporting her, too. It looks painful for her to not take the money. Alison says that the final offer is $25,000 and she (silver team lady) says, "That is more than I make in a couple of years!" Hmmm, what does she do for a living? She cusses a lot and looks uneasy. Is she gonna do it?

The offer is to leave the game for $25,000 which is 10% of the final prize. Joelle (silver team lady) seams like she might take it. Daniel (the poor boy who is the biggest ever) says, "If you wanna win money, go on a game show..." They are basically saying if you're in it for money, go for it now. I personally think that the opportunity to be on this show is worth more than that. I don't think that the real prize is in the money.

It's my first glimpse of Bob in two weeks! He tells his team that this was the craziest weigh in ever. Jillian asks her team how they made the decision on who to send home. Jerry talks about how he needs it the most and Jillian agrees.

Bob talks to Kristen who sent her mother home. He tells her that he really liked her mom and that she loves her daughter so much. Kristen says that she thinks her mom will "kick butt" (at home). Bob tells them that they have a responsibility to not only themselves but to their teammates at home. The green lady, one of the models, tells Jillian about the temptation challenge. Joelle tells Bob that she almost took the money and Bob can't believe it. He is concerned for her and her teammate.

Bob and Joelle talk privately. He asks her why she wants to be there. She tells him that the show is the only way (other than surgery) for her to lose 100 pounds. He tells her that she must get out of her comfort zone to do it. She begins to cry and talk about shame and guilt! This is a hot button topic for me because I'm the QUEEN of shame and guilt. Bob tells her that "Today is the day to forgive yourself." She also talks about fear and Bob says, "Anytime you start to feel that fear- welcome it. Hands up, eyes open- I welcome this. It's time for you to see what you are capable of. You'll come out of this victorious." That is why I love Bob!!!

It's gym time. Jillian talks about the pattern of week 2 on the show. She tells us that she is "the best." Bob says f--- week two." Then he shows us (and Joelle) how to do a push up. Jerry is working hard and he talks about how he can't believe how much he's accomplished. Way to go, Jerry!

Bob is talking to the brown team about snacking. They discuss how they want something sweet in the afternoon and what should be done about that. Bob tells them that they should chew a stick of Extra Sugar Free gum and gives them the Sweet Watermelon to put in their pocket.

Joelle falls or knocks something over and their is a big BANG! She tells them that she is fine. It seems like she is just kinda half-assing it and her team notices. She says that she can do the diet but the exercise is the hardest for her.

We see the "homies" talking about their goals and accomplishments. They talk about how hard it is for them. Everyone seems to be doing what they should- going to the gym, setting goals, walking, etc.

Bob's Trainer Tip is to sing while working out. Awesome! I love to sing.

Now it's time for the challenge. The campus contestants and Ali are on a boat. Alison tells them that they must kayak to shore and then climb a mountain. The reward is immunity at the next weigh-in and a phone call home. She tells them that second, third and fourth place will also receive a phone call home. Also, the last place contestant will receive a 1 pound disadvantage at the weigh-in.

The contestants are in the kayak and Blaine and Helen are first. Jerry didn't seem to be moving at all! It's a foot pedaling thing. Joelle talks about her mantra and that would so be me, talking to myself. I do it all the time. Tara, green, starts to make some headway. She has had a great attitude so far. Helen is doing really well, too. Poor Dan and Jerry are still waaaaay in the water. It is strange how much I'd like to do this. I surprise myself.

Jerry finally makes it to shore but is struggling. On the mountain (hill?), Blaine and Tara are neck and neck, walking, when Tara begins to jog. She passes Blaine. She says that she felt that she had to do it then so she had a chance. It's the steepest part of the hike, Ali says and we can see how it's affecting the two. Then, Blaine says that he just couldn't do it. Tara wins 1st. Blaine wins 2nd. Dan is just making it to shore.

Mandy wins 3rd place. Helen is struggling but says that she just kept thinking about a phone call home. She wins 4th place and the last phone call. Who will be last? It's between Jerry and Daniel. Jerry makes it and says that he is not glad that Danny is behind him. A few of the others go out to meet Dan and I cry again. That is just awesome. He just needs to do it and I think that accomplishing things like this are a big start.

The winners talk about how proud they are of themselves. Tara talks about how for so long she didn't do things because of her weight and now look at her. She is kayaking and climbing mountains. She then says that the immunity is good enough for her and she would like to give her phone call away. She gives it to Felipe who is a husband and father. I cry again.

Felipe calls his wife and she says that he sounds different. He tells her that he goes days without using his inhaler. Blaine calls his wife, who is going to have a baby in two weeks. She tells him that he needs to stay because she needs him to be okay. He tells her, "I'm just no good without 'cha." It is so sweet.

Mandi gets to call her husband and she is so glad. She tells him that she did good in the challenge and that is why she gets to call. She thinks that makes him more supportive. Helen calls home and talks to her daughter that was sent home. She is the one who recently got arrested, FYI.

Ok, phone calls over and we are back in the gym for the last chance workout. Bob says that he's gonna work them hard so they don't do bad in week 2. Jillian says the same thing. Dane says that it is the hardest thing that he's done so far there. She has him squatting and leg pressing Blaine. He does it though- 900 pounds. He says that she is the hardest coach he's ever had, including his football coaches. That is a big statement.

Now, Bob is pushing Joelle. He is very frustrated with her. She does a lot of talking. Jerry is working hard with Jillian. She tells us that he just doesn't have the stamina as the younger contestants. He seems to have some knee problems. Here is Joelle again talking about not giving in or something. She says that she is "faking it until she makes it." I don't know what she is talking about. Faking it for who or what? Dan pushes himself and I am so proud! He says that it's a great feeling.

Bob is working with his team. They are running on the treadmill for 30 seconds and Joelle stops at 20 seconds. Bob is PISSED! He is cussing and yelling at her. She says she is giving him her best and he tells her that she is not. He wants to know "WHAT IS IT?" He is livid and everyone looks stunned. Jillian tells her team that she has NEVER seen him that mad, ever. He wants them to do it again. He starts counting and they are off. Joelle stops at about 25 seconds. Everyone is yelling at her to focus. She is telling him she is doing her best and blah, blah, blah. He tells her to shut the f--- up and just do it. They do it again and she makes it.

Now it is time for the weigh in. As the contestants are going into the weigh in area, we hear from the "homies." Everyone is nervous and doesn't want their partner to go home. Joelle says that she knows that everyone is mad at her. Helen talks about how Joelle has to lose weight because if she falls below, she is going home. Another person said the same thing earlier.

Ali reminds them that their weigh in is important for their future and the future of their partner at home. She asks Jillian about this week and Jillian tells her that it's been a good week, a hard week. She then says something about Bob entertaining them. Ali asks him what she means and he tells her that he and Joelle had some growing pains. He says that he was possessed by Jillian. This gets a big laugh from everyone. Then Joelle says that she just really wants to get on the scale.

*Tara is first because they are going in order of the challenge winners. She only lost 1 pound.
*Blaine came in 2nd so his team (black) goes next. Blaine lost 16 and Dane lost 14 for a combined total of 30. They have lost a total of 64 pounds since they arrived.
*Mandi weighed 251 previously. She weighs 245 and lost 6 pounds. She is happy.
*Helen weighed 245 previously. She weighs in at 237. She lost 8 pounds. She cries and says that she is going to bring Shannon back.
*The brown team goes next. Mike was 366 previously and Ron was 398. Ron loses 12 and Mike loses 7. That is 19 total and they move above Mandi.
*Damian (red) weighed 364 pounds. He has really big nipples. He's pretty confident going up to the scale. He lost 9 pounds.
*Kristen (purple-mother/daughter) weighed 341 and needs to lose more than 8 pounds. She lost 10. She does the "Bob dance" and it's not pretty. This puts her third and Mandi last.
*Felipe is up next. He needs to have lost more than 8 pounds. He weighed 347 last week. This week he weighs 339. He lost 9 pounds and he screams. He moves to fourth.
*Joelle is finally up. Kristen says, "It has been the week of Joelle. From the temptations to the workouts to the last chance workout- she sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm very interested to see what that looks like on the scale." Me too. She needs to have lost more than 7 pounds. She was 296 previously. Her current weight is 294. She lost 2 pounds. Bob is mad. Mandi is happy.
*Jerry makes his way down and I feel sad for him. Last week he weighed 344. His current weight is 343. He looks SO sad. I hate that. Everyone is moved by this. Ali and the other contestants are all sad for him. They give him a round of applause. Jillian tells him, "You still lost 26 pounds in two weeks. Nobody wants to see Jerry fall below the yellow line." Mandi is safe but is really sad for Jerry.
*Dan is next. He has a 1 pound penalty and needs to have lost more than 3 pounds. He weighed 424 last time. His current weight is 421 which means that he lost 3. If he had not received the penalty, he'd be safe and Joelle would be below with Jerry.

Joelle says that there is no glory in beating the "oldest and the heaviest". She bugs me. Now everyone must decide who to send home. Jillian says that this is the worst case scenario- Jerry and Dan below the line.

This is the hard part. Everyone is discussing who needs it more and it is very emotional. Jerry needs it more because he passed out the first day. Dan is so young and needs to be able to live again. Ron is crying and saying that Dan HAS to be there. For him, Dan represents a younger him and his own son. He says that Dan may go home and lose 80 pounds but he regain 110. That is his own pattern and he is scared for Dan.

It's time to vote and everyone sits down with Alison. She tells them that she "can't imagine a more difficult choice." Kristen goes first and votes for Jerry. She is upset about it though and hugs him. Jerry says that he is "at peace." Felipe tells Ali that he didn't base it on who worked the hardest or who needed to be there more, he based it on his feelings. He votes for Jerry too. Jerry gives Felipe a thumbs up. Damian says that he wants to see Daniel grow up to be Jerry so he votes for Jerry. Tara votes for Jerry because she thinks he has more support at home. She tearfully tells Jerry that she is sorry. He tells her not to be, that he is at peace. Ron is last and we know that he is going to vote for Jerry to go.

I am so sad and so is everyone else. Jerry says that he feels good. When Ali tells him that he is not the biggest loser he tells her that he is the biggest winner though. I am crying really hard! I hope so much that he does well. He can do it now.

Oh my goodness. Seeing him is amazing. He looks so good! He has no indication of diabetes and nothing wrong. He and Estella look great! She says that she is below 200. Jerry lost 84 pounds.

NEXT EPISODE

The January 20th episode (the latest) begins with everyone talking about how hard eliminating Jerry was. Ron says that Jerry asked to be eliminated over Daniel. Mandi says that it's hard and upsetting to have to chose between two people who are working hard when their is someone who is not. Joelle. She is not working as hard as everyone and she ostracizes herself from them. She says that she feels out of control and has an issue with losing that control. I don't get this AT ALL. She wants control of what? Her weight?? Ummm, she doesn't have that.

Now the "homies" talk about their biggest temptations- fast food, gravy, chicken burrito, cheeseburgers, strawberry danish, coffees, jerk chicken, fried chicken, potatoes. Then we see them eating better- well, some of them. David is eating fried chicken and laughing. Then he burps- cute.

The campus contestants are at a temptation challenge. They are standing in front of a table that has different food (tacos, donuts, chicken nuggets, peanut butter cups) on it. Each food has it's calorie count next to it. Alison will give them each five minutes alone in the room and they can eat as much or as little as they want. However, their partners have already done the challenge. The campus contestants will not know what the "homies" have done until they are done. The team with the highest number of calories wins the temptation. The winner gets to train alone with their trainer- at home.

Joelle is all excited because she wants to leave and have a break. This aggravates me because so many people would love to have the opportunity that she does. I am also a little confused. Does Ali mean that the winner "gets" to go home? That doesn't seem right to me.

The game starts and everyone is sniffing and staring at the food when it's their turn. Damian says he has a "meat"tooth instead of a sweet tooth. So does Blue. Mandi is confused as to what to do. She wants to go home and give her boys a hug. I guess that they will get to go home. She eats a slice of pizza. Felipe is eyeing the 200 calorie tacos. Joelle goes in and takes a slice of pizza, a donut, etc. The contestants continue to sniff and eat.

Ali comes back and tells them that there will be a winner. She starts with Mandi. Mandi ate one slice of pizza for 380 calories. Aubrey is then shown on tv and tells them that she has been craving tacos. But she didn't eat any. Mandi buries her face in her hands and cries. Aubrey tells her that she hopes Mandi ate nothing, too. Umm, oh well. FAIL.

Felipe ate nothing. Good job. Sione is shown on the tv with two pieces of pizza and a taco. He says that he did that because he needs that workout with him and Bob. His food was a total of 960 calories. Felipe is shocked. Now they are in the lead.

Kristen didn't eat anything. We see Kathy and she didn't eat anything either. Kristen is happy to see her mom on tv.

Damian didn't eat anything. Ali asks him if he thinks Nicole ate anything and he says no. Nicole shows up on the screen and Damian lets out a big "Whoo!" It is really sweet. She shows him her plate and it is empty. He is happy. She tells him that she is counting the days until she sees him again and he gets a huge grin on his face.

Helen ate nothing too. She says she doesn't know how Shannon did. Shannon came on the screen and cries. She didn't eat anything.

Tara ate nothing and neither did Laura.

Black and brown are both on campus and Ali tells us that neither of them ate anything.

Joelle didn't eat anything in the end. She put the donut in her mouth and took it out. Gross. Then we see Carla who was the biggest woman on the show. She has a plate of 3 slices of pizza, 5 chicken nuggets, 1 taco and 2 cupcakes-2710 calories. Everyone is shocked and grossed out. Joelle is all excited. Damian says (to us, not in front of her) that Joelle is 41 but emotionally 12 or 13. That is so true! She is laughing and is happy.

Mandi is very upset. She wanted to go home and see her boys very badly. She also ate a piece of pizza for nothing. Joelle says that she is not smiling because of Carla "consuming." Then she says that Carla has a strength and it's being able to do something like that (I guess eat) and then go back and "get it in line". Umm, I beg to differ. The scale says otherwise, honey. Felipe speaks up and tells her that rekinling isn't gonna burn calories. He also says that Mandy should've gone home. I feel sorry for her but she should've eaten more. I don't believe that you should get special privledges because you have kids.

Joelle and Bob will be traveling to Detroit. Everyone else who is working with Bob will be without him for a few days. Now, they have to tell Bob. We review last week's Bob meltdown where he was pissed at Joelle. Oh, this is gonna be gooooood. The team (Bob's) is on the treadmill and they tell him that they had a temptation. Felipe explains the temptation to Bob (and I understand the reward better- 24 hours at home with your trainer and partner). He tells Bob that he is going home with Carla. Bob, the doll, says, "I'm going where?" I am laughing hard.

Bob doesn't seem too happy. He says that Joelle is a mess and now he has to go and tell Carla that Joelle has been in the bottom for the past two weeks. Joelle and Bob are standing in front of Carla's house. It's big- huge. Carla comes out and everyone hugs. They go in and Bob tells Carla that Joelle has taken him where no other contestant has. She asks, "Is it me?" What an idiot. Carla tells her that at times she can push people's buttons. They discuss Joelle's being at the bottom during weigh in and Carla is not happy.

Bob goes into the kitchen and tells them about snacking on yogurt. Back in Cali, Jillian and her team are working out in the gym. Mandi starts crying and saying that she feels bad. She and Jillian go outside to talk. Mandi says that she is hitting a wall and is drained. She misses her kids. Jillian gives her a pep talk and she feels a little better.

Bob is in Detroit working the silver team. Carla is angry that Joelle isn't pulling her weight. She tells Joelle that she needs to workout hard at the campus. She keeps going on and on and Joelle gets mad. Joelle yells and Carla yells. Bob stands back and lets them be foolish. Carla has a point though. She says that she lost 9 pounds at home while Joelle lost 2 at the ranch.

Bob's trainer tip is about healthy(er) pizza. Yum. He says to start with whole wheat dough and top that with low fat cheese, veggies, chicken or shrimp and fruit.

Bob calls the team at the ranch. He is on speaker phone. He tells them- no excuses and that their last chance workout is gonna be brutal. Bob sits down to eat salad with the silver team. They start singing the same ole tune and Joelle doesn't care. She acts really disinterested. Carla tells her that she is mad that Joelle is on the ranch and not her. She wants to see a fire in Joelle and she doesn't. Joelle tells Carla some crap about vision and Carla ain't happy about that.

Blaine has a meeting with the doctor. He is 28 and takes 8 medications a day. After 3 weeks of diet and exercise he is finished with the meds. Ron is up next. He was taking 10 pills a day plus his insulin. Now he only takes 1 and a fraction of the insulin. He says that The Biggest Loser is like a fountain of youth. I have gotten off of most of my meds, too and it feels great.

It's time for a challenge. It's the jump-the-beam challenge. The winner gets immunity. Joelle says something stupid. She is the first one off with the first rotation. Ron is next. It looks like he didn't even jump. Dan and Helen are out too. Damian is out after awhile. Felipe scrapes the beam with his heels. Then he breaks it on the next round. Four people are left after over 20 minutes- three girls and Dane. Mandi is out. She is on the sidelines crying. She does that a lot but so do I. Dane is out after 2 hours. The two girls-Tara and Kristen- hit 1000 jumps. Kristin breaks hers at 1030 jumps and 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Tara wins again. She doesn't seem happy because she loves Kristin. ? Kristin is really upset because she almost won and didn't. Tara then starts spitting up and tells her team that she was throwing up in her mouth. I don't know what the hell she is talking about. I'm very grossed out.

The team is in the kitchen and Bob comes back. It's time for the last chance workout. He says that he is going to put the whole week into this workout. Some of them are on the bikes and Joelle is whining again. No one wants to hear.

Jillian talks about how she loves to inflict pain. She gets that fix from Blaine. Bob and Jillian are both pushing really hard. They are using their own weight to push their teams. Bob is pushing Mike really hard and he says that he is almost at his breaking point. Bob says that he wants to make them cry.

Jillian's Trainer Tip is about an interval that can be done in the living room. I think I will. Jumping squats 10 times, bicycle abs 20 times and then running in place for three minutes, rest for one minute and do it over two times.

It's weigh-in time. Bob says that he has no idea where the numbers will be because he has been gone all week. Ali, who looks great, tells them that if they survive the next two weigh-ins, they can bring their partners back.

*Tara goes first. She weighed 272 pounds before and lost 8 pounds. She has immunity.
*Helen gets on the scale and says that she is really nervous. She lost 6 pounds and is happy.
*Mandi goes up and she lost 8 pounds. (side note, I wish we knew how the "homies" are doing weight wise)
*Joelle is next and I'm anxious to see what she did. She weighed 294 last week. Her current weight is 288. She lost 6 pounds. She is just weird, the way she acts.
*Felipe weighed 338 pounds. His current weight is 324. He lost 14 pounds and he is screaming and yelling. It's fun! He says that he really pushed himself this week. I'm inspired by him and his reaction. He is now at the top of the scoreboard.
*The brown team-father and son, Mike and Ron-are next. They need to lose more than 18 pounds. Ron lost 9 pounds and Mike lost 11. They have lost 93 pounds in three weeks. Bob is exstatic and says, "That 93 pounds is Nicole Ritchie."
*The black team-cousins, Dane and Blaine-go next. They need to have lost more than 18 pounds. Blaine lost 12 pounds and Dane lost 18 for a total of 30. That is amazing. If I lost 18 pounds in one week, I'd pass out.
*Damian needs more than 8 pounds to stay above the yellow line and he only lost 4. Bob feels guilty.
*Dan is up and he is worried. He needs to have lost more than 8 pounds. He was at 421 and is at 406. He lost 15 pounds. He has lost 48 pounds in three weeks. WOW. I have not lost that in three freaking months. FRACK.
*Kristen weighed 331 last week. She needs to have lost more than 6 pounds. Felipe says that they were all rooting for Kristin because if she makes it, Joelle and Damian go below the line. Joelle will go home then. If she doesn't make it, she and Damian will be up for elimintion. She lost 7. She is safe.

Joelle and Damian are below the yellow line and are up for elimination. Joelle knows that it's not good for her. Bob says that he assumes it's gonna be the silver team and in that case, Carla is gonna kill someone. The contestants are all in the kitchen. Tara asks Joelle if she wants to be there and she is wishy-washy. It looks like Joelle is going home.

Felipe votes for Joelle to go home.
Brown votes for Joelle to go home.
Kristin says that Joelle has expressed a desire to not be there so she votes for her.
Helen votes for Joelle to go home.
Black team votes for Damian to go home and I kinda figured that would happen. They acted kinda sketchy during deliberation.
Tara votes for Damian to go home. I guess that Jillian's team is not on board with the votes.
Dan votes for Damian and I am really shocked. Not shocked that the other team did that but because I didn't really think of it. I didn't think they would do that.

Damian feels really bad. He feels like he let Nicole down. It's sad. In three weeks he lost 30 pounds. That is really great.

Damian and Nicole look really great. Nicole lost 76 pounds. Damian has lost 74 pounds.

The Mentalist

One of my favorite new shows of the season is The Mentalist. Simon Baker is really beautiful. He plays Patrick Jane, a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) who has a knack for solving crimes with his powers of observation. Baker is an Australian but Patrick Jane is American. His Aussie accent is sexy but you don't get to hear it on the show.

Patrick Jane is also searching for the serial killer, Red John, who killed his (Jane's) wife and child. Every epsiode has "red" in the title (minus the pilot).

I watched so much Lost last night that my head hurts. I watched Season 4's season finale (the one with the stuff written at the bottom) titled, "There's No Place Like Home". I also watched the "Destiny Calls" recap with executive producers and writers.

Then, I watched the first two episodes of Season 5, "Because You Left" and "The Lie." I think that I will be watching them again. As usual, I have to let it all sit for awhile before I'm sure of what I saw. I'm so thrilled that this show is back. It makes me feel ALIVE to think so much.

Money Doesn't Buy Class

I'm watching this Tuesday's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Here are a few observations:

Simon is British? I had no idea.
Vicki is exhausting, utterly and completly. She is badgering her poor mother much like she badgered her poor daughter. "Do you love me? Tell me you love me."
I would LOVE to be able to have a seven-course meal prepared by a chef. How great would that be?
Gretchen is silly. So is Tamera. I don't understand why Gretchen is even on the show. She is not married so she's not a wife.
Tamera's son, Ryan, is slimy.
I cannot imagine inviting someone to my house and being so rude to them like Tamera is to Lynne and Frank.
It's gross that Tamera would want to get Gretchen drunk. Gretchen however is a 30-year-old woman and can take care of herself. She shouldn't have drank like that and then acted like that. If I would've been there, she would've gotten slapped. She was disgusting. But then, after she got drunk, they should've cut her off. The overt sexual behavor all over Vicki's husband and Ryan was uncalled for.
I keep thinking that Gretchen is gonna fall in the water.
She (G) is being mean to Jeana and Jeana is the only one trying to help her.
A drunk never admits they are drunk, right? How gross.
The "wives" are mean to Lynne for no reason.

Wish You Were Here

That is the name of the episode ^ and also the name of one of my FAV songs.

Anyway, the very talented Eric Stoltz comes from behind the camera to guest in a three-episode arc. He plays William Dunn a death row inmate who is brought into the hospital after being stabbed. He reportedly comes between Meredeth and Derek. He says, "I would have to say that I insinuate myself in between Mer and Der in a way that isn't exactly helpful." I guess we'll see.

Also starting tonight is the beautiful Jessica Capshaw. She plays Dr Arizona Robbins, pediatric surgeon and a love interest for- Callie.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the devastatingly-handsome-but-dead-in-every-show guy, is back as Denny. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE JDM- that impish, sweet, shy smile and all but I don't like him back on this show. I don't want him (dead him) and Izzie having sex. I like Izzie and Alex- a lot.

Perry Reeves guests as Margaret, a patient with a "bone-sucking tumor". You may know her from Entourage. She plays Mrs Ari. She is EXCELLENT on that show.

"I'm not going to a meeting to discuss my obsession with my best friend's girlfriend's half sister."- Dr M. Sloan to Callie after she suggests they are addicts (He has the best stuff!)

Ellen Pompeo is REALLY unattractive in this episode. I've never found her terribly attractive but she seems strange looking in this one. I can't really put my finger on the reason, though. Lip color? Hair down? Hmmm. She is maybe PREGNANT!!

"I can't do anything that would make you unhappy." -Denny's response to Izzie asking him not to make her choose between him and Alex. After she and Alex have sex (in the hospital). That is just weird. And it's bad for real men because they wouldn't say that. Also, is there THIS much sex in hospitals?

Mark and Callie were the best of the whole show.
"I'm going to denver!"

Alex made Izzie a cake- that was too sweet for words.

This show ALWAYS kills me. It touches me, it inspires me, it haunts me. I am super-super sensitive and I get emotional for every show. My mama had to call me last night and warn me that there is an older man who falls out and he is gonna be ok. She knows that I have a really sensitive soul and that seeing him fall out would really get to me. So, I'm warning you, dear readers. This show is gonna touch you. You are gonna feel something when you watch.

I already really relate to the cousins, Felipe and Sione. A part of their culture is food and as a Cajun, I get that.

The 19 year old kid, Daniel, OH! OH! That just breaks my heart open. I just want him to succeed.

The MAW MAW and PAW PAW! I love, love the name Estella! I want them to be ok- to DO IT.

It is ALWAYS the mom/daughter or son/dad or mixed that really, really get to me. I'm so close to both of my parents and I know how much I love them and what I would do for them. Anything. I don't want to be fat with my fat young kids so it's time NOW to make the change.

YAY Bob! I heart him so so freaking much. I know that I've said that plenty before but, it bears repeating. How funny is it watching Bob and Jillian watch the contestants be all lost in the gym. "Get her OFF the bars!"

Oh, no! I cannot watch Jerry fall. I can't do it. Poor Estella. Poor, Poor Estella. Oh, I gotta fast-forward. Let me tell ya'll that my PaPa is 69 years old and he is 10x healthier than this. He can run and ski and do all that. If I would've been there in the gym at that time, I'da LOST it. LOST IT. I want him to come back though. I want him to do whatever he can to get better.

Everyone should be required to watch this show. EVERYONE. I think that it's so important to see this. If you are fat, you need to see that you can do it. You need to see how big you could get if you let yourself go. I know that it wouldn't take too much for me to weigh 300 pounds. I don't want that though. I want to LIVE and be HAPPY and HEALTHY. I'm happy that I'm smaller than any of these people, for the first time! There was always someone smaller than me or the same exact weight- starting. I am so so so beyond thrilled to say that I am smaller than the smallest person's starting weight. It's not a great thing to be proud of but I gotta start somewhere. So, YAY me!

These weights are just overwhelming. Daniel is 454 pounds and he is the biggest contestant they have ever weighed at the show. He can't walk, he waddles. It's really imperative that he gets healthy, or he will die.

I LOVE the bodybugg. I want it now. I use CalorieKing.com or SparkPeople.com to keep track of my calories but it's hard to keep track of what I burn. Actually, I have not worked out in awhile so, I need to do that.

Jerry is back. He says that at the hospital the doctor told him that his blood pressure dropped while he was working out. That is why he passed out. That used to happen to me all the time. My blood pressure dropped and I would be out. My bp is still on the low side but I don't pass out anymore.

I'm thinking that we have not been introduced to all the teams. I want to see the green team again, the models. I am also going to be able to relate to them, too. Not because I am or ever was a model but because they were not always fat. Or I guess they weren't.

All I can think of during the challenge is that the street/bridge they are running on looks very slippery. I'd bust my ass. Every time I watch this show, I'm inspired to RUN! and JUMP! and CLIMB! That is a very good thing though. I'm so proud of Aubrey- whether she wins or loses- that was awesome. Aww, she lost, but only by a teeny bit. Way to go, girls.

Oh, going to see the results of the tests. How I need Blue to go there. I would love to do it, too. I know that I have fatty liver that I'm trying to heal. I'd like to know what my age is inside my body. My cholesterol is good though! I stopped smoking. I'd like my DAD to find out what his is too. Maybe that would help him? I don't know.

The daddy crying and holding hands with his boy- oh, that is so sweet.

The black team men have wives and kids. One has a baby on the way next month, his third child. It's not just about them. People are depending on them.

On a side note, Ali Sweeney looks good. She is really pretty. She is just a little pregnant for her 2nd child in these episodes. Her daughter is due this month.

Big twist- 9 contestants are going home! They are breaking the teams up. That is kinda crazy. Blaine and Dane- the black team- are immune. They lost 34 pounds combined. Wow!
"I lost 14 pounds but I felt like I lost 50, " -Blaine. I think that means a lot.

*The silver team- Joelle and Carla- lost 24 pounds. This is the team with the biggest woman ever.
*The orange team- Dan and David- lost 46 pounds. This is the team with the biggest man and the biggest contestant ever. He lost 30 pounds!
*The red team- Nicole and Damien- lost 35 pounds. She beat him! They were one pound away from being above the yellow line.
*The white team- Estella and Jerry- lost 34 pounds. They needed 33 pounds. Jerry lost 25 pounds! WOW.
- The lights must be insane there by the scale because poor Ali is sweating like crazy.
*The blue team-Filipe and Sione-lost 40 pounds. They need 41 to be above the yellow line. Aw.
*The yellow team-Aubrey and Mandi-needs more than 28 pounds and they lost 25. Awww.
*The purple team- Cathy and Kristin-(Kristin was the second biggest woman)-lost 31 pounds. They needed 36 to stay. Jerry and Estella are still the winners with three teams left.
*The pink team-Helen and Shannon- lost 25 pounds. They needed 30.
*The green team-Tara and Laura-the ex-models, lost 34 pounds and needed only 32. Tara lost 21 pounds and did an adorable dance. "Who loses 21 pounds? I DO!" -Tara. They are above the yellow line so Estella and Jerry are now below it.
*The brown team-Ron and Mike- need to have lost more than 48 pounds. They lost 54 freaking pounds. Good gracious. They win for the week. Ron lost the most (32 pounds) weight anyone has ever lost in one week. It's amazing.

I have to say that this twist is BIG. The black team won immunity during the challenge so they are safe. The brown team came in first at the weigh-in so they are safe. Every other team has to chose one of their members to go home. After thirty days, whoever is still in the game gets their partner back. I don't think I like this very much. I don't like the separating of the teams but it is different.

What do you do? How interesting to see three different strategies, or trains-of-thought, right away. On the pink team (mother/daughter), Shannon (daughter) is saying that Helen has to stay because she will go back to bad habits at home. She says that she is not staying without her mother. On the red team (finaces), Nicole seems to be laying her case out for Damien. She is telling him that she can do it and that she has surprised herself already. The yellow team (sisters) is talking about who would be mad or who would fault whom if they were eliminated eventually. The blue team (cousins) are saying that they have no doubts in each other. The silver team (best friends/biggest woman) asks each other if they want to stay and talk about how they were the lowest losing team.

*Pink team (mother/daughter) loses Shannon (daughter). Helen stays.
*Blue team (Tongan cousins) loses Sione. Filipe stays.
*Green team (ex-model BFFs) loses Laura. Tara stays.
*Yellow team (sisters) loses Aubrey. Mandi stays.
*Red team (fiances) loses Nicole. Damien stays.
*Orange team (BFFs/biggest contestant) loses David. Dan (the biggest contestant) stays.
*Silver team (BFFs/biggest woman) loses Carla (the biggest woman). Joelle stays- this one I don't get.
*Purple team (mother/daughter) loses Cathy (mom). Kristin stays.
*White team (oldest/grandparents) loses Estella. Jerry stays.

I know that I've said it before but I cannot say it enough, I LOVE The Biggest Loser. I would love to be on the show and WIN. I would love to meet Bob Harper who I just adore. I think he's amazing and adorable and sweet and funny.

On to the show, I really don't want Vicky to win. I can't stand her. It's too bad that she is the contestant from Louisiana.
Also, I love Allison Sweeny. I didn't realize she was so pregnant! I don't really love that green (velvet? velour?) dress but, poor thing. She might not be able to find anything to fit.

Heba looks really good. She needs a better bra! Oh goodness, it's really bad. REALLY. BAD.
Ed looks really good, too. I just didn't like the two of them at all during the game. I think that is why everyone voted for Ed. People didn't like them so they did the opposite of what they wanted.

Stacey is my hero! She kicked major ass on that step challenge. She looks incredible! She and Adam prove that working out and being healthy can happen even with jobs and kids. That is an inspiration.

LT and Tom. They lost some weight! Good job, guys.

YAY! Bob. His butt is so cute. I love him so much.

Adam was 340 pounds. His goal was 220 by the finale. His weight is 260. He lost 60 pounds.
Stacey was 221 pounds. Her current weight is 156. She lost 65 pounds.

Aww! LT is a little league football coach. Love that. His starting weight was 357 pounds. His current weight is 270 pounds. He lost 87 pounds.
Tom started at 314 pounds. His current weight is 236 pounds. He lost 78 pounds.

Jerry. That is just fricking amazing. I have chills looking at Jerry and Colleen.
Coleen looks fantastic, too. I love her. Her talking about her daddy just made me cry every time. Because I KNOW!
Shellay looks so good. And Amy! Oh, look how good she looks too. I love those dresses.

Jerry is the reason I cry for the first time. How awesome!! His diseases are gone! It's so beautiful and fabulous. I'm just so proud. He gained 24 years the doctor says. That is just priceless. He was the unhealthiest player in Biggest Loser history. He started at 380 pounds. His current weight is 265 pounds. He lost 115 pounds which puts him in the lead for The Biggest Loser off campus.
Colleen started at 218 pounds. Her current weight is 154. She lost 64 pounds.

Shellay and Amy trying on clothes- that is me and Mama! We laugh and laugh and laugh. Shellay was 216 pounds and now it's 142 pounds. She lost 74 pounds. That is awesome! Amy, who is just a cutie, started at 239 pounds. Her current weight is 135! She lost 105 pounds. Oh my god!!! She takes the lead from Jerry.

Now, my favs- Phil and Amy. I loved Amy P. so much. WHOA! They look fabulous. Brady looks good and Renee- Oh wow! She looks amazing. I love Amy P's dress.
Phil's tape is making me cry. I love seeing him with and hearing him talk about his kids. It's adorable. His starting weight was 331 pounds. His current weight is 180 pounds! OH MY gOD! He lost 151 pounds, that is freaking amazing. What an awesome guy. He takes over the lead.
Amy P., my very favorite contestant. She was just so sweet and southern and precious. I love that hair in the tape. She is so pretty! She started at 229 pounds and her current weight is 124. Good GRIEF! She lost 105 pounds. WOW! That is just amazing. She takes the lead from her husband and OH, I hope she wins that whole thing. 105 pounds. That is just crazy.

Brady and Vicky, I didn't like them. I didn't dislike Brady as much as I REALLY CANNOT stand Vicky. Brady started out at 341 pounds. His current weight is 224 pounds. He lost 117 pounds. That is awesome, too. Not enough to take the title from Amy, though.

Renee's change is dramatic. She was an awesome competitor too. I don't get how you stop talking to your child but, that is not the point. She started at 267 pounds and her current weight is 161 pounds. She lost 106 pounds. She looks like she lost more than that. She did great.

Heba was the heaviest woman on campus. I didn't love her but I do understand when she talks about wanting to get pregnant and being so big. I'm not as big as she was but, I am big. Her starting weight was 294 pounds and her current weight is 156 pounds. She lost 138 pounds and she wins the $100,000 prize! 138 pounds is absolutely incredible.

I don't know how Ed can cook good food and not eat it. I can TOTALLY relate to him talking about how food tastes, feels, etc. Sometimes it's just too much. It just depends on how much you want it.

Oh, Bob! He's talking about what WE can do even though we are not on the show- make better choices at lunch, move around more today, make the CHOICE.

Now, Vicky. As much as I don't like her, the kid thing is gonna get me. OH, the first Cajun Biggest Loser sign. Ummm, not all Cajuns are like her. She is not a nice person and seems so insincere. She is killing herself. She wakes up at 4am and works out for an hour. Then she goes to work until 5 and works out and doesn't come home until 8:30 or 9. She is not seeing her children or losing weight. My biggest question is what is she feeding her kids now? When she was on the show, she talked about how they MIGHT know what broccoli was because of school but they don't eat it. She feeds them doughnuts and other fatty foods. Her four-year-old weighed 62 pounds! She needed to be focused on helping them, too. Not just herself.

Michelle is such a sweet and beautiful girl. Her story made me cry too. I'm glad that she and her mom are close again. There is nothing like that relationship between a mom and daughter. I'd be so lost without my mom. Some days she works out for 4 hours! Hmmm, I can't do that. Maybe that is why I am fat.

These woman can't walk in their shoes! Heba and Vicky both were slipping and sliding all around. Bob is so sweet. He helps the ladies walk to their spot. Michelle looks so great! FULL DISCLOSURE I want Michelle to win. I guess that is weird because she is on Jillian's team but I like her the best (by FAR) out of the three.

January 6th a new season starts. I'm excited for that. The oldest couple, the biggest woman and the largest contestant ever at only 19 years old. It's right in time for new year's resolutions. Also, the Pound for Pound challenge.

Ed's starting weight was 335 pounds. His current weight is 196 pounds. He lost 139 pounds. That is 41.49%
Vicky's starting weight was 246 pounds. Her current weight is 145 pounds. She lost 101 pounds and needed 102 pounds. Thank goodness for that pound.
Michelle's starting weight was 242 pounds. She needs to have lost more than 100 pounds. Her current weight is 132 pounds!! She lost 110 pounds. She is the biggest loser!!

Scoop (BEWARE of Spoilers)

Who wants TV scoop? (Ummm, probably not a lot of you judging by the amount of people who read-comment-on this blog, but whatever)

Are you wondering WTF is going on over on Grey's? What is wrong with Izzie? Last week, she actually (appeared) to HAVE SEX with her dead fiance', Denny. Many people are speculating that the good doctor has a brain tumor and is dying/will die soon. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Denny, is contracted until February. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the show, says that the brain tumor is not the case. Can we trust her though? She is famous for throwing off spoilers or changing things all around after leaks.

Also, word is, Sadie (Die) and Callie may be getting closer. For a second. AND, so will Little Grey and McSteamy (look for that in early '09).
Let's discuss these things!! What do you think about these couplings?

After this week's Gossip Girl, we all know who is going to die, right? Well, I've heard that Ed Westwick puts in an Emmy winning performance during the funeral show. Really! Also, R & L just may get together after all....

Emerson (very funny Chi McBride )(when the boys give them the tickets)- "A magic show! Where did I put that rat's ass I could give?"

The dialogue for this show- the quick, witty banter is better than any other show on tv.

Chuck(the very beautiful Anna Friel) (to Ned)- "Don't you have a sea of questions?"
Ned- "There might be a pond."

The Great Herrmann (guest star Fred Willard) gives Ned a hug and Olive (the lovely and extremely talented Kristin Chenoweth) says, "I want a hug." He tells her, "I'm not made of hugs."

Emerson- "While we can appreciate and sympathize with your predicament, Mr Hermann...
The Great Herrmann (interrupting)- "Please, call me great."
Emerson- "Uh, no."

I love this big feathered cape thing that Chuck is wearing. I'm trying to find a picture for you... Also love the purple and black pattern inside Herrmann's magic box-thingy and on his jacket. The twins' sweaters are hi-lar-ious!

Lee Pace's smile is so sweet. And Chuck and Ned are so very adorable. You feel the longing as they "touch" through the Plexi glass.

**I hear that on an upcoming episode (8 maybe?), we see some type of "contraption" that Chuck and Ned use to, umm, touch each other sexually... ***

Sick and Live Blogging- at 1 A.M.

It's actually more like 1:14. I went to sleep at 8:30 and woke up at 12:30. Now, I can't go back to sleep. I am sick- ear ache, headache, etc. So, the show- The Biggest Loser: Families. Last week, Amy C. (of the blue team) voted for Brady to go home. Now, we know that evil, scheming Brady's wife, Vicky is gonna be out for blood...

I like Coleen a lot. But I LOVED Amy P. I cannot stand Vicky and I cannot stand Heba. Just saying that right up front.

Even Vicky's own team member and friend, ED, is saying that she is scary. The show opens with Amy explaining herself- numbers and percentages- she's crying to the other team and they are SO GLAD she did what she did, of course. Vicky is flinging the "F" word around and leaving rude REVENGE notes and Heba says she is "staying out of it."

I'm very excited to see Bob's reaction. He seems most upset that the team is falling apart. When he meets with them, Amy is not there and Vicky is saying that she cannot be with her. Bob goes up to talk with her and Amy is really upset. She is crying and tells him that she just did what she had to for herself. She tells him that she thinks that she can win. Bob and Amy are now on an island....

A gray Delorean a la Back to the Future pulls up to the ranch as the contestants are headed to the gym. Allison gets out and as Heba says, "Is in the ugliest outfit I've ever seen." She is dressed for the '80s in purple boots, acid washed-ripped jeans, purple pleather jacket (with shoulder pads) and crimped teased hair. She tells them that they have a new 80s uniform and 80s house and 80s workout because it's 80s week.

Ed makes me laugh with his short shorts. He calls them crotch huggers.

The three women of the black team meet up with Jillian and some dancing guy. They are gonna do some break dancing. I love the 80s music (she's a maniac, maniac)! The girls are having fun dancing. Dancing is a good workout.

The blue team-with cutie cute Bob-does step aerobics. The song- I'm so excited! Heba says she was worried something was going to fall out of Ed's shorts. Bob has a "sit down" and tells them that good can come from bad times (or something) and he basically feels the tension between Vicky and Amy. He asks the group if they have anything to say and no one does. He is worried that the team will fall apart.

Challenge time. Allison is wearing another crazy 80s get up. It's a lot of hot pink and is that black lipstick? There is a stage with buckets rigged up in the air, as if the were filled with something and could be dumped. Each bucket has a person's name written on it. Heba says it reminds her of the shows where green slime is dumped on people. Allison begins talking about how the "80s were a huge turning point in the way we approach food and fitness. Everything from Diet Coke (THANK GOD!) to Jane Fonda's first workout tape came out. And obesity became classified as a disease in the United States." The challenge is 80s trivia. The contestants hold onto a handle attached to the barrel (bucket). The barrell is filled with 50% of their body weight in water. A trivia question is asked and if they get it wrong, more water is added to their barrell. If they get it right, they add more water to someone else's barrel. Last person standing wins. The prize is a motoroker S9 HD wireless stereo headset for the whole family and 2 motorola wireless workouts recorded with Bob. Also, the winner gets a choice of $5,000 cash prize or giving a one pound penalty to someone at the weigh-in this week.

Ed rings in on the first one but is wrong so more water is added. Heba gets the next question correct and adds water to Coleen's barrel. Ed is having trouble with sweaty hands... The third question is won by Coleen and she pays Heba back by giving water to Ed. After that water is added, he's holding 100% of his body weight. After he fiddles for a second, he loses control and the water tips over and he's out.

Coleen answer's the next question but she is wrong and get's more water. Amy gets a question right and adds water to Vicky! YAY!! Vicky says she's not surprised because she thinks that Amy is aligned with the black team. Allison's next question is, "Today, the most commonly purchased woman's dress size in America is a size 14. In 1985, it was a size? A 8, B 10 or C 12. Renee answers C but it's A so she gets extra water. At this time, Amy is struggling and then drops her rope. Coleen drops hers. Now, it's Heba, Vicky, Michelle and Renee. Heba gets more water. Then Vicky drops her rope. Heba wins the next question but loses control of her barrel. It's Renee and Michelle, mother and daughter. Michelle tells her mom that she will buy her a purse if she will drop it and let her win. Cute. Renee does drop and Michelle wins. I like her.

Bob, Heba and Vicky are walking. Bob tells Vicky that she needs to knock it off with Amy (basically). He's telling her that they are a team still and that they still have the numbers. Vicky is not having it. Bob is persistent and he is really fussing at her.

Jillian is trying hard to work her black team. She knows that if they don't have the numbers on the scale, they don't have a leg to stand on. They are outnumbered and the blue team has Ed. She puts them through "the spin class from hell" and takes the seats off of their bikes. Every week, she makes them cry. Hell, every week she makes me cry. She says "fight through it, fight through it." She almost kills them on the bikes and when they are finished, she puts them on the treadmill.

Michelle says that running at a high speed triggers a high anxiety. She cries. I think that Michelle is really beautiful. The story of Renee and Michelle is really sad to me. I hope Michelle finds comfort and healing.

Jillian talks to her team about eating healthy. She brings them Ziplock produce bags to help save their fruits and vegetables. She says that they (we) should be getting five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. I wonder if they go grocery shopping or does someone else do and the good food is just there for them?

Coleen is in her room with a cute shirt on a hanger. She tries it on and it FITS. It's her "goal closet item" and it's a medium. She says that 9 weeks ago when she got there she wore a 2x. GOOD LORD! 9 weeks is NOTHING.

Amy and Vicky (and Heba) are in the kitchen. Amy tells Vicky that she is sorry for what she did, that she didn't lie because she just changed her mind at the last minute. Vicky says that she appreciates the apology but she expects Amy to vote black. Vicky is nicer to Amy than I expected.

Bob's trainer tip- keep nuts, string cheese or an apple with you to snack on to keep your blood sugar regulated so you don't crash at the end of the day.

Bob goes into his last-chance-workout. He's thinking about Michelle's one pound penalty. She will give it to one of the blue team if she takes it. Amy whines about the pull ups. Bob says that Ed and Heba better work their asses off.

The weigh-in and Allison is dressed in a normal, trendy, yellow dress. She is so pretty. Ya'll know she is pregnant with her second baby. Anyway, Michelle tells Allison that she is not taking the $5,000. She is giving the one-pound penalty to Vicky with the whack hair 'do. She always fixes her hair in this crazy style...

Michelle weighs in at 186- down 8 pounds. 4.12%
Renee weighs in at 207- down 8 pounds. 3.72% (Does Allison decide who goes what order?)
Ed weighs in at 262- down 11 pounds. 4.03% He doesn't act happy. Michelle is definitely safe.
Heba weighs in at 231- down 7 pounds. 2.94% It's good weight loss but not enough. Ed is safe.
Coleen weighs in at 163- down 3 pounds. She is really upset. Jillian is upset but tells her that she will be fine. It's moving. Bob is kinda like, what is going on? Two more people have to weigh in. Amy needs to lose more than 5 pounds.
Amy weighs in at 173- down 8 pounds. She is so excited. She has lost 66 pounds total. She is in 1st.
Vicky needs more than six because of the one pound penalty.
Vicky weighs in at 187- down 6 pounds- not enough. YAY! She says that she couldn't have worked harder.

Renee and Michelle won't vote Coleen. Ed and Heba won't vote Vicky. It's Amy as the swing vote. No 60 minutes to decide. Coleen says that she is scared to go home because she is not 100% ready. She is afraid to follow in her dad's footsteps. Vicky says that she respect what Coleen says but she has two kids and she works 60 hours a week so how is she gonna lose weight?

Everyone is thinking of Amy and her vote. The black team hopes she remembers that Vicky made her week hell. The blue team wants her to redeem herself. Of course, it's two votes for Vicky and two votes for Coleen and then it's down to Amy...

She votes to evict- Coleen. I'm a little surprised but not too much.

Coleen is going home. She has lost 51 pounds at the ranch. Amy tells her that she loves her and that she is one of the most amazing women she knows. I'm excited to see her at home. WOW! She looks great. She was a 22 pant and is a 10 now.

Rooting For Ruby

I'm watching this new show on STYLE network (or E!) called Ruby. Have ya'll heard of this? Ruby Gettinger is a southern girl from Savannah, Georgia who has lots of friends, loves dogs and teaches Sunday school. She also weighs about 500 pounds. She has weighed over 700 pounds.

This show is her journey to lose weight to save her life. Doctors have told her that she is a walking (sleeping) timebomb- a "metabolic time bomb waiting to go off." He tells her that she could just stop breathing in the night. She admits that she only eats unhealthy things and that she has a food addiction.

I just love so much of what she says. She says that it's the "beast". Everything in her life is good but this- her weight. I know how that feels. She also talks about how this (her body) is just a "shell." That when people stare at her in public or laugh at her or make comments, it's only her shell that they are judging.

I'm so hoping that Ruby can get it together and lose weight.

Pushing Daisies Thoughts

Did I miss some episodes? Weren't Chuck and Ned seperated at the end of the season last year because Chuck was mad at Ned? She found out about him accidentally killing her father? I guess I'll have to rewatch.

I LOVE Ned. He is SO SO cute.

Anna Friel is so adorable. Chuck/Anna is beautiful and I love her wardrobe.

The Ned/Chuck can't touch thing is so romantic and heart wrenching and brilliant. SIGH.

How funny is the signing nuns a la Kristin Chenoworth thing? Funny!

The sets for this show are incredible. The colors, the make up, the designs...

Next Week- CLOWNS and CIRCUS? I can't watch that!! What am I gonna do?

Cry Every Show

Mom and I (usually not together though)(but often call each other) always watch Biggest Loser. Last season and this one that started Tuesday night, are Biggest Loser: Families. It's teams of two and some are married couples and some are parent/child. These are more heart tugging for me than just the non pared up shows.

The show is filled with lots of good tips and motivation. It is extreme, yes. All these people have to do is focus on losing weight- they are at a special "camp" with diet food/healthy food and they exercise all the time. They have personal trainers that kick their butts every step of the way: Jillian and Bob.

Ultimately though, the reason I love the show is because it shows that the true way to lose weight is to eat less (better) and to exercise more. No fad diets, no pills, just hard work. I love that. The show also, of course, shows these people who I KNOW. I can identify with so many of the emotions and the frustrations of these people.

Well, I don't have someone telling me, "Unless you faint, puke or die, keep walking." Which is what Jillian says to her team on Tuesday night's epi.

I got all caught up on ANTM, GG, and BB10 this weekend. Let's chat about those shows and also, let's talk about THIS which is a big deal to me. BIG.DAMN.DEAL.

ANTM
Lemme just get out some of my first thoughts (that I remember now)- I know that it's your show TYRA and I know that you were/are a model. Everybody knows that, but really, get over yourself! I cannot believe that there are still so many girls interested in spending so much time in a house filled with HUGE pictures of Tyra Banks smiling with her eyes. And I can't believe that I still watch the damn show, but I do.

Isis the "transgender"- hmmmmm, I've really thought about this one. I do understand that some girls are uncomfortable and confused. I'm a small town girl and have lots of questions about pre-surgery transgendered girls. I'd wanna know, what is different about you (Isis) than some cross-dressing man? Then I saw that she is taking shots and I know that they don't just give that stuff out. I cannot imagine her life. It's not for me to judge or know so whatever. I don't see the great beauty though. If we are supposed to see her as a regular contestant than I'm going to do that.

Gossip Girl
How much do I love the Blair and Chuck stuff? Serena and Dan were soooooo sleepy boring in the end. Blair and Chuck are electric hot!! I don't know about this new twisty Nate/Catherine, Duchess/Lord stuff but I like the one uppers with B and Bass-tard. I hate Chuck's hair. I love Blair and Serena's looks in the past two episodes. Serena's dress and hair at the White Party in the Hampton's- HEART STOPPING.

If Vanessa and Rufus get together, I will puke.

Big Brother 10
I would vote neither. I don't like either one at this point. I liked Keesha the best. I think that Dan will win though.

90210
Okay- I think that there are good arguments all over the Internet supporting that either Brandon, Dylan or Steve are the father of Sammy, Kelly Taylor's son. We will supposedly find out who he is on Tuesday's show when Brenda says his name. Here are my (100% dorky) notes on the subject:

Brandon

Kelly said she was talking to Sammy's father. She told Brenda and Nat that she talked to Brandon. BUT, isn't that obvious?

She has history with Brandon (she said she had history with Sammy's father)

Brenda would be Sammy's aunt and would want to be near her nephew. She could just want to be near her friend's child.

Brandon was/is very responsible and would take care of his child. He grew up in a stable family and had two parents who were always there for him. I'd think that he'd want that for his child, too. He is gone for his job- a journalist? Wouldn't your child come first if he/she was a priority?

Jason Priestly has said that she does not want to come back on the show as Brandon Walsh. He may come back as a director. Maybe it's a lie to throw us all off. Maybe they will just use his name.

Dylan

When the original show ended, Kelly and Dylan were together. They had finally given into their true love for each other.
Kelly and Dylan had history in high school.
I think it'll be more of a surprise and drama if it's Dylan. Brenda is on with Kelly!
Dylan is a bad boy. He is irresponsible and an alcoholic and has had problems with drugs. He has problems with commitment, too. He had a troubled relationship with his father and a tumultuous childhood. I'd think that he'd want better for his own child.
Luke Perry has said that he doesn't want to appear on the show either. See above.

Steve

Kelly and Steve dated Freshman year in high school and it took Steve years and years and years to get over her. By the end of the original 90210, Steve was married to Janet and had a daughter, Maddie. Kelly and Dylan were her godparents.
Sammy looks like Steve with the blonde curly hair. Kelly has blonde hair too.
Steve's mom's name is Samantha and so maybe Sammy is named for her.
Steve would be a big shock- he's not Brandon or Dylan.
Steve was married when we last saw him so maybe that is why he is not with the two. Steve was adopted and he was obsessed with finding his birth parents (then later found out that his "adopted" father was his birth father") so why would he do that to his own child.
I have heard two different things about Ian Ziering and his stance on appearing on the new 90210- that he would like to and that he would not like to, so there you go. Or not.

I really would love to see some more of the original cast. The whole show should be- Beverly Hills, 90210: Married, Children & Middle Age. I would definitely watch.

Are you interested in THIS new movie? Well, it was a Broadway play first and then a movie in 1939. That first movie, staring Joan Crawford and Norma Shearer, is playing on TCM at 7:00. I'll be DVR'ing that.

This one has already premiered this past Sunday night. It is set in Louisiana and it's about vampires. It's a romantic comedy that is a little goth and a little murder mystery. That is a big 'ole gumbo of genres. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is a telepathic waitress who dates a 150 year-old vampire (Stephen Moyer).

Drama- I was a huge fan of the original. I will be watching the premier because I have to for the teen in me. I guess we will see. No one has seen this yet either. They have re-written the pilot a few times.

It's a mixture and a bit of a mystery. It was a 2006 tv show in the UK and then now, it's a show here. It's gone through some re-vamping though and no one has seen the completed version. The premise is that a man has an accident and wakes up in 1973. He doesn't know if he's in a coma or if he's crazy or what.

I am embarrassed by how excitied I am about the 2008 Fall television season. Well, I guess I'm not too terribly embarrassed if I'm discussing it publicly, right? I'm sure it's because there were so many great shows that I fell in love with last year (Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Lipstick Jungle, Cane, Big Shots) and I didn't get any time to watch them. We had the strike and then right after that was over, summer came.

I'm starting by giving you a list of the shows that have not been picked up for the 2008-2009 season. If you have a question, email me and let me know. I'm working on the Fall schedule post. Also, let me know which shows you are gonna be watching and wanting to talk about soon! I'm gonna be (trying) to pick up the tv blogging when the shows come on again.

On to the goners:

NBC:

1 vs 100, Amnesia, Bionic Woman, Clash of the Chiors, Journeyman, Las Vegas, My Dad is Better Than Your Dad, Phenominon, Quarterlife, The Singing Bee, Scrubs

Scrubs' final season will air on ABC. I saw all the aired episodes of Quaterlife on Bravo! one day and it was good-ish. It was something I'd watch. I also think that a show like The Singing Bee should be on somewhere during the day.

I liked Shark. I'm sad that Kid Nation is not coming back.

The CW:
Aliens in America, CW Now, Life is Wild, Online Nation, Beauty and the Geek, Crowned:The Mother of All Pageants, Pussycat Dolls Present:Girlicious

I'm so shocked that Beauty and the Geek is cancelled. I like that show. I admit that I didn't watch last season and it's probably a little played out by now. Maybe they shouldn't have shows with colons in the titles anymore.

FOX:
Back to You, New Amsterdam, Nashville, Canterbury's Law, K-Ville, The Return of Jezebel James, The Next Great American Band, Unhitched

Ok, truthfully, I only watched one painful episode of K-Ville because I hated it. I also tried to watch The Return of Jezebel James because of the cast. I couldn't do it. Obviously, I wasn't the only one.

House Is A Mind Blower

If you are not watching House, you are missing out on: excellent writing, acting, chemistry and story lines. I just (finally!) watched the last two episodes of season 4 last night, House's Head (Part One) and Wilson's Heart (Part Two). They were absolutely phenomenal. Every single member of the cast was great, solid. Hugh Laurie, of course, gives me chills.

I think Hugh Laurie is simply amazing. I cannot find enough positive adjectives to describe him. They all do- brilliant, talented, attractive, funny, smart. His portrayal of Dr Gregory House is heartbreaking and chilling. I was really moved by him in these two episodes. I am always impressed with him, though.

Lost- Season Finale

What did ya'll think? I watched it in St Thomas with my brother and Shannon and Luke. Luke was tipsy and coughing so I'll probably watch it again. Plus, I want to watch it after I've read all the blogs I like to read about it. Some initial reactions:

Sawyer is still cute but I liked him better (the best) when he and Kate had cage sex. Remember that? When they were on the other island in the Others' cages and they had dirty, semi-rough sex in the cage. Whoa! HO-OT!
Sun is AWESOME. Yunjin Kim is a brilliant actress.
Please no hooking up Sawyer and Juliet.
I felt sorry for Hugo when they were on the helicopter talking about extra weight! Awwwww :(
Claire was creepy and I hope we see more of her soon. I have read that we need to be focused on "What happened to Claire?" not "Is Claire dead." This came directly from the executive producers.
Also, from tvguide.com, Harold Perrineau says that Michael's death was not the way he wanted things to go.
Is Jin really dead? I'm hearing NO....
What really happened on the island after the 6 left?
How did Locke die? Why did he change his name? Why was even Walt calling him Jeremy Banthem?
Speaking of Walt, OMG! He got huge.

Live From American Idol!

Everything is DVR'ed so it's 9:25pm when I'm starting this. I only watch things DVR'ed now. I don't remember if I've said that so I'm saying it now.

OK, a boxing theme, stupid.

I'm a Cook fan. I think Davey is an "over-singer" who is cheesy and belongs on Broadway. I love theatre so, that's not a bad thing. I just think he can only sing certain songs. Boring ones, mostly.

Neither have been in the bottom 2, that's true, wow! It surprises me how many people (girlies) are cheering for Cook. It seems they both are very good on stage both performing and interviewing. I truly believe that Davey will win going into the finals before I hear either of them sing. I think the judges want him to win, too. They've let him get away with whatever (except for Simon's comment about a Chihuahua trying to be a tiger which I really got) and kissed his little bee-hind every week.

I really cannot stand Paula and not in that good way that I love to hate the villains on my fav shows. I wish they'd just do away with her and hire someone else.

First round song is chosen by Clive Davis.
Cook- "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2- I love this song. Cook's lips are so so so pretty. Sir Andrew Llyod Webber says don't be "brave".

Davey- "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John (Lyrics by Bernie Taupin). Elton is one of my all time favorites ever. I know he's gonna over sing this. I'm just really glad that it's not a boring, cheesy song. I'm excited to hear him do it. Sir Webber says "Don't Let Your Eyes Go Shut On Me." But he "has it." He then contradicts himself by saying, "You don't win anything if you're not brave."

Who is this other guy? He is annoying and unnecessary. (Don't we have enough of that with PA?)

COOK- OK, the beard may be growing on me. I love Blue's so, ? Lovin him singing this song. I'd buy whatever he put out tomorrow. Oh, a little smile, lil shimmy shake, yeah... I don't like the end note, it's not at all Rock and Roll. I loved the performance though. LOVED!!
(Randy liked the cheesy end, of course. Paula is gross.She always sounds like a cougar hitting on him. Simon, my man, says it was "phenomenal").

DAVEY- Sitting on the steps, that's kinda cute, but hold up. What's with the big huge STAR on his shirt? There he goes with the squinting. I don't like the way he's singing it- all big and filled with the runs, oh the runs, Davey. Every note does not have to drag oooooooooonnnnnnnnnnn. It's so "jazz hands"! And close his eyes for the beginning and the tweenies go wild.
(Is Randy going to talk about the "telephone book"? No, the molten hot. Whatever. Paula- really? Something about sunshine. Simon- I think I'm gonna love him. Nope. He says it's the best he's done so far. I like that he delivered it more rationally though. Simon says the round goes to Davey)

Round two is the song from the fans songwriting contest. I always hate these songs.
I'm sure Davey's is silly.
The boxer theme is really, really dorky.

COOK- "Dream Big"
I really like the guitar playing. The chorus is kinda catchy. Sexy expression after the chorus (what are we not judging on that? Why?) He has a star necklace on... Is this from Paula's jewelry line? It's an OK song but he is great!! I love him and his rocking lips. I love his throaty voice.
(Randy liked his voice and thought the song was OK. Paula zzzzzz. Simon looks bored and says he's a "lightweight" and it wasn't a "winning moment.")

*Is it awful that I have a tiny crush on Ryan Seacrest? He is a Georgia boy.

DAVEY- "In This Moment"
WTF is he wearing? Skinny jeans and an appliqued blazer? This is his type of song and I like him singing it. OMG! The back of the blazer. How can I even pay attention to the song? OK, this round is definitely Davey's. It's a better song and it's his thing, the big ballad.
(Randy isn't crazy about the song but proves that he and Paula can be replaced by robots by saying "you could sing the telephone book," blah, blah, blah. His robot can say "You could sing the telephone book" and "Molten Hot Lava Vocals, Dawg!" Paula's could just sit there. She is blah, blah, blah... Simon thinks this song is better and gives the round to Davey.)

Round three is contestant's choice.

They could do a song they've already done? OH! Cook is doing Collective Soul's "It's the World I Know" which is a song I know and like but it's not a GREAT song. Why oh why doesn't he choose to do one his big hits? He wow'ed people with his renditions of "Billie Jean" or "Hello" or even "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". I think this is a mistake. Davey is redoing "Imagine" and it's a good choice.

COOK- I like the red tie. I like this song a lot. Collective Soul is a good band. I'm so glad he is playing his guitar. I like some parts and some leave me wishing for the original version.
Awwww, the emotion is really sweet. I always get emotional when other people do so I'm teary.
(Randy likes the sensitive side of Cook. Paula thinks he is true. Simon says he is nice and sincere but the wrong choice. He thinks Cook should've sung "Billie Jean" or "Hello". Am I supposed to be putting song titles in quotes?) Anyway, Cook says that because he feels like the show is a progression, he chose to do something he hasn't done yet.

DAVEY- Seriously, who dresses him? Full disclosur, I've never heard him sing "Imagine" before and I'm a HUGE fan of John Lennon singing it. I don't like the front of it but I am OK with it after awhile. I don't like the end but the middle was good. I like Lennon much better. THis kid just isn't my cup 'o tea so it's hard for me to be objective.
(Randy loves it and talks about how the judges knew it'd be the two Davids. He says the best singer is "right there" pointing to Davey.Paula says she's speechless but isn't. Simon says it's a "knockout") Davey looks like he's gonna throwup. How can this be starpower? I guess my idea of rocker and star are different than other people.

I do believe that Davey the child will win (and faint). I think that David Cook will be fine though. I think he will get a record deal and sell lots and lots of them. I am voting for him! Oh, look it's Reuban!! I love this song. I really do. That is all until tomorrow.

I DVR everything now and I just started watching tonight's Grey's, but I had to comment on this. I think it's getting better and better. Examples:

Christina singing "Like A Virgin" while harvesting cadaver hearts. Awesome!
Alex scaring little "princesses" with his Snow White stories.
George going around handing out the Date-and-Tell papers and saying, "The Chief needs to know who you've slept with by the end of the day. Be thorough." And the exchange between he and Rose about "levels of intimacy" and George telling her they need to know "the highest" hahahahaha

LOST- S.3 Finale

To start off, my biggest questions

Who is on Naomi's boat?

Who was in the coffin?

Who is the "he" Kate referred to in the flash foward?

Why is Jack's beard not grey in the flash forward? Why is he talking about his father as if he's alive? Why do people talk about him being a hero but not a survivor of a plane crash?

-I have no idea who is on Naomi's boat. Maybe she has been commissioned by Penny's father. The name Windmore has appeared more than once. I believe that Penny was shocked when she was talking to Charlie. She didn't know what he was talking about, right? Naomi did have a picture of Des and Penny (the picture) and she knew Des' name. I'm not one of those obsessed fans who is really smart and visits all the extra websites and plays all the games. I just watched all 3 seasons in 2 weeks! Don't laugh at me and my guessing...

-The flash forward was both shocking and upsetting for me. Weren't you upset that Jack is like that? Is that really how it will be FOR SURE? I'm just so confused about some things- his beard (a minor thing), his dad (maybe he was just drunk/high), the crash. I've read some other people's theories (and agree) that no one in the real world knows about the crash/island, etc... Oceanic, Dharma, whoever paid them (Jack, Kate, whoever else survives) to keep their mouths shut. Kate looked very well off, she's not in jail ("they" made her criminal past disappear), and the way they were talking at the end seemed like a deal had been made that Jack regrets.

Some people speculate that Jack feels like he made a mistake by leaving the island because his life post-island sucks. He obviously has no one, is an addict, isn't with Kate, all of that. I see that and get it, of course. I also wonder if he was saying that he and Kate made a mistake by leaving because they left someone (more than one?) behind and he feels bad? Or they didn't send for help? None of the Survivors had much to go home to and they all had daddy issues. That really means nothing. I'm just blabbering.

-Who is Kate referring to when she says "he'll wonder where I am" or whatever? Her husband (Sawyer), a child (it's 3 years post-island so, Sawyer's child)? My hopes, of course, are Sawyer. For now, I'm a Kate and Sawyer (Skater) fan. I think they belong together better than Jack and Kate do. But, for the record, as of now, I DO NOT like Juliet.

-The coffin? Someone died that both Jack and Kate both are tied to, that upon reading about their death, Jack would call Kate, devastated. Someone died that would cause Jack to be pushed to the brink. He obviously was very unstable but, this news was earth-shattering for him. No one went to this person's funeral. Kate was surprised Jack would even think she'd go ("Why would I go?" said in a snarky voice). Who do you think it is?

Is it Juliet? (this is not my first guess but, seems to be what the easiest most obvious guess would be)

I cried and cried for Charlie. Awwwwwwww.

-Now, will Claire and Aaron get on a helicopter but it be "bad guys"? That would suck!

Ok, my ramblings are over. I know that they are all over the place and not put together nicely. I hope I don't sound too ignorant. I'm very excited to see what everybody has to say, what everybody thinks, what everybody guesses.

BTW, I'm extremely (beyond) boy crazy. I have been since before I can remember. It's probably a disease. Anyway, I love, love, love this show and the "others" and Survivors and anagrams and Dharma and what's up with all of it and the science behind everything. BUT, GOOD LORD!! Sawyer is hot. No, No, HOT. He is sexy when he is cutting up a freaking fish.

Fickle girl that I am though can't help but love Jack's looooong legs. Whoo. Also, always fall a little harder for Jack when he's pissed and kicking ass. Loved when he was all crazy-mad at Ben and telling Tom he was gonna kill him at the end of the epi.

I Love The Boys!

I am really loving Entourage! LOVING it. It's such an amazing show with great characters and writing and acting. I have the biggest crush on Jeremy Piven it's ridiculous. I am on Season 3, Part 1. I just finished the episode where Ari and Barbara join together to form Miller-Gold (sounds like a beer), Vince and E screen the *new* Queens Boulevard and hate it. Vince tells the Hollywood Foreign Press that the studio only wants money and he doesn't want anything to do with it.

I'm very, very anxious to see the rest. All of Season 3 is available on DVD and I'm waiting for the last 2 DVDs from Netflix. It's taking forever, though. I sent in a ton of DVDs days ago and I have not received new ones. Anyway, who watches?

PR- EMOTIONS!

I'm watching tonight's PR that I DVR'ed and I wasn't going to LIVE blog but, I had to. After I saw what the challenge is, I am loving it. I'm on L's work computer so, this is going to be a little bumpy but, hey, I can do it.

*Just so you know, I had really, really planned to blog about every episode of this season. I even took notes from episodes I didn't live blog. It is just too much. ESPECIALLY when no one really wants to discuss.*

So, Jack has something wrong with his nose? A bleed? He's HIV positive. I'm very worried about him. The book I'm reading right now, Best Friends by Martha Moody, is about a woman who becomes an AIDS doctor right at the beginning of it.

Heidi looks so good. I rarely dislike what she wears. I love that houndstooth skirt.

These women! They've lost an incredible amount of weight. How amazing. Very inspiring. 160 lbs... She lost 160 lbs. WOW! Just OH MY.

Poor Steven got the wedding dress lady. "Death on a stick." That's funny. I cannot wait to see what he'll do. I hope they give them something they can actually wear and not something too avaunt guard, ya know?

Oh, now, Victorya is pissing me off with her comments and Kevin and Elisa are being sweet. Steven is really cracking me up!

**FYI- Kit, the very, very blonde girl works for the E! Network. She dresses the news people and stuff.

OHHHH, Steven is doing a black and white dress! I love black and white. I think it's tres elegant. I think Steven does well.

Oh, it's Jack's lip? His face. Poor thing. What a devastating thing! I am going to cry. He's leaving! Oh, sad sad sad sad.Are we going to be updated on how he is doing? I really hope so. Please remember to get tested, wear a condom every time you have sex and educate yourself, your children, etc.

Ok, *wipe face*, another surprise! YAY! Chris is back. I really LOVE him and it seems like so does everyone else. I'm glad they did that. I think it's fab that he gets to come back for this particular challenge, too, right?

Oh, what are they doing with the wedding dress?

How much do I love Tim and his comments? LOVES it! I told Lindsey the other day that Tim can compliment the outfit or eviscerate it, all in the same tone. Oh, a dirty joke! Tee-hee-hee...

I always love to see what the designers wear on Judgement Day. I also really am in awe that an outfit is actually made.

Christian, yes, of course you think your outfit is the best and everyone else's is "God awful hideous." He's a little punk.

Oh, and Ricky is crying. I cannot blame him or rag on him too much because I'm a cryer. No, an extreme cryer. Like he is. People are all the time asking, "Why the hell are you crying?"

I love the hair and makeup! LOVE LOVE. I couldn't sew or design an outfit to save my soul (I could shop for one, for sure!) but I could do hair and makeup. It was also a dream once upon a time. You know, along with writing, acting, being a nurse, midwife...

HA HA! I'm giggling. How cute is Steven, panicked and gluing?

His model, Penny, lost 65 lbs and had jeans and a tee, maybe? I love the outfit Ricky created for her. It's a v-neck tunic in a goldish tan color with brown accents and tight jean Capri's. She looked great.

I have to tell ya'll that I'm tired of writing about people going down the runway. I was gonna do everybody, then just the ones I liked, then just the ones worth mentioning good or bad, but AGHHHHH! Let's wait until the judges narrow it down.

Heidi calls him Steve and that doesn't suit him. The judges want to know what of the original piece did he use and why did he pick black fabric.MK said "French maid". I think he could've done something great with the black and white. He did not.

He loves his jackets and the judges love 'em, too. I hate to say that the outfit does look good. It does.

Chris
It's very costume-y. That's what he does. It's not bad it's just not wearable. MK says "hooker with a heart of gold"

Last week on DSM, we learned that Brian was Dutch's son. Oh, the watch! How sweet, right? Jeremy and his crazy quest to be poor and enlisting Lisa's help. Lisa?! Funny... How do I feel about Karen and Simon? Does she know what she's doing? Hmmmmmm? This week, Jeremy and Lisa get closer. Nick finds out about Karen and Simon and doesn't like it.

Hey! I'm LIVE blogging. (LIVE blogging for those who don't know means I'm watching while blogging) Jeremy is playing with fire. He is going to get hurt and hurt Sofia, too.

What is Lisa even doing? Why is she going along with this? What's in it for her?

Awwww, Tripp meets with Brian. *Sigh* B's such a meanie, no cracks in his shell. Finally the church is taking action. I was kinda wondering how he got away with all of his "behavior" without the church saying anything.

Simon and Karen. Karen and Simon. What's he up to? He's smarmy. I cannot imagine that he actually likes Karen. I also think Karen is much smarter than she wants some to believe and she will not hurt Tripp. Is Nick going to tell Tripp? Is he jealous?

Yay! Juliet is back- Samarie Armstrong was gone last week because she was in treatment for personal reasons. I really like her and the character. Ohhhh, who's the guy?

I love mama Darling and B's heart-to-heart over B's foot bath! How very posh. It was a good honest talk and glimpse of B's thoughts.

So, Simon thinks Nick is with him- stealing the Darlings' financial reports- but Nick tells Tripp everything. Tripp gives Karen the papers to give to Nick to give to Simon. (blah, blah, blah, blah, blah) Then, when Nick leaves Tripp, he calls someone... who? Am I stupid? Probably. Sometimes I don't follow well.

Karen to Nick: "You gonna "Nutcracker" with the fam tonight?" (I like it)

Ahhhh, Carm-ah-freakin-lita! She's just getting on my nerves this week. I hate when he's (Patrick) called "Paddy".

Karen looks stunning at Simon's when she goes to meet him and his ex-wife, the Princess of Ghana. WTH? What is his game here? She approves? That whole sitch is fonky and I'd leave if I were Karen.

Oh lordy clorde, Clarke and Carmalita, kinda funny. Hard boiled eggs.

The stoners- Jeremy and Lisa. Too freaking odd. Crying and all "deep" thoughts... "If you were mine, I'd be a couch potato." What every girl wants to hear, right?

Kiki and her obsession with being rich is cute. I'm not trying to be mean cause she's very very cute, whoever plays Kiki George (her telling Karen Darling that her dress was pretty, awwww), I just loved Elle Fanning in the pilot.

Hmmmm, did Patrick have something to do with Carmalita's disappearance/death? Is she dead?

Looka B in a suit! Getting into the Darling Enterprises "ring"... on God's command, of course. I think he'll be great.

Whoa! Nicky's all fired up about Karen crying. He is telling Simon to stay away from her. I want to know more about Nick and Karen. Why didn't she accept his proposal?

$35 Billion?!? Whoa... Big surprise that Sofia walked out on Jeremy. Right?

Kai says Juliet very cute. She met him on Karen's honeymoon? He was just kinda random... huh?

OK, so maybe Lisa was just feeling a little lonely, un-noticed, bored. That's why she went along with all of Jeremy's drama. She's been through a lot with the Darlings, Karen, Nick and his dad. It's a lot for a wife. You can feel invisible at times. So, a new baby. OK. I don't know.

Karen is "in it", too, with Tripp against Simon. What's going to happen now? Can she be all that Tripp wants her to?

The Aftermath

Luke and I watched DH last night and Whoa! It was gooooood. I thought there was a great mix of drama (Susan falling down the stairs, which I've been waiting for, Sylvia and Katherine sparring in the street, Sylvia locking herself in Bree's bathroom, the tornado itself) and comedy (Carlos: "You're supposed to pack the essentials. Is that a boa? Gaby: "If you're taking me somewhere I don't need a boa, I don't want to go!", etc).

Mary Alice told us in the beginning that one of them [the Housewives] would lose a husband and they would all lose a friend. I think that after the fence post went straight through Victor, we can say he's dead. He is legally Gaby's husband, sooooo, there you go.

Who else? Sylvia is obviously dead but, she's not a friend to anyone. Her getting sucked out the door was funny. She was a kook. I think Katherine is, too, though. I'd rather someone punch me than spit on me.

I loved Bree in this episode! Luke (who has never watched before) said I was just like her! I'm not, of course, but he said that because she invited Sylvia in to get the dirt on Katherine. Loved her "I can't help it if I have a sympathetic face!" line. Oh, and the anti-bacterial soap part. Ha ha... So, are Bree and Katherine friends now? Maybe there is a tiny bridge but, there is still the big secret about Dylan. I don't trust Katherine.

Mike pissed me off. I think I might've kept him cuffed to the chair! I hope he really gets help. I'm glad Susan finally stood up for herself and her baby. I hope she follows through with it.

As for the friend who is dead, I think it's Ida. I don't think it's Tom or the Scavo kids. I think Ida was probably dead before the tornado came (when Lynette thought she was sleeping).

A Twister Is Coming

Who is ready for the twister tomorrow night on Desperate Housewives? I've heard that 2 people die and I've heard a few different theories on who those people may be. Victor Lang and Edie Britt are two major contenders according to many sources. I wouldn't mind this happening.

Edie's stories/character has gone flat, pathetic even. I thought her relationship with Carlos was so boring and not at ALL hot. No chemistry. She has seemed old and pathetic for most of the past two seasons. Except when she wore that amazingly beautiful white Michael Kors coat (only shown in houndstooth). That coat is a dream.

Victor and Gaby have always driven me crazy. I've never liked them. I've always thought Gaby and Carlos were hot, hot, hot. Now that we (and Gaby and Carlos) know that Victor is alive, something has to happen. Gaby isn't going to die so, it's gotta be Victor. My question is why hasn't Gaby said anything about what she heard on her wedding day? She overheard Victor and his father talk about how marrying her was good for the Latino vote.

Another rumor, Tom will die. I really, really, really hope this is not true. Lynette and Tom are the only couple that have been together from the beginning. They have made it through a lot. I have to say that Felicity Huffman deserves AT LEAST an Emmy nomination, if not the win. I don't know who she'd be against.

So, 2 people die and the whole town is destroyed. What else is going to happen to the residents of Wisteria Lane? Shoeaddict Says that Susan needs to tell Mike to get the hell out and get some help. He needs to quit using the baby as an excuse for using drugs and she needs to tell him that! Why can't she get a job? Isn't she a book author? Write a book!

I just watched last weeks Pushing Daisies, "Smell of Success." It was great. I liked this one better than this weeks episode. I love this show anyway. Here's some little things I have to say after watching "Smell of Success":

-I want one of those cup-pies!
-Chuck (Anna Friel) is so pretty.
-I love her character.
-I love her clothes.
-Olive is funny.
-Emerson wears the craziest, miss-matched outfits.
-Pee-Wee Herman was good.
-I love scratch-n-sniff books, better than pop-ups
-Is Pee-Wee coming back to "out" Chuck?
-The aunts are so sad.
-"follow the yellow thick hose" love it!

Shoeaddict Says, "The Country House"- what a suprise!

If you aren't watching Dirty Sexy Money, you are missing out. It's my favorite (or one of) new show of the season. Last week's episode was "The Country House" and BOY, OH BOY! was it grrrrreat! It had Carmalita the tranny mistress meeting with Ellen the proper wife, Tripp the head Darling having a sit-down with the childish Pat, sneaky Simon Elder and the do-gooder but, clueless Nick. He dropped a bombshell on everyone. Plus, Jeremy was so cutie-cute-cute on his date! Mama Tish, what a bitch telling Lisa about Karen and Nick's kiss, huh?

Jeremy was just adorable last week. From the scene with him at the breakfast table (the Darling breakfast table is divine! Even their fruit looks rich) with Karen, to him with Sofia on his "normal" date. I just think he's sweet.
What is Tripp doing? I know that he really wants to destroy Simon Elder but, is he screwing his own son in the process? Which Darling child is NOT a Darling? Is Nick a Darling? All these things are going to be revealed soon, I hear. I didn't get to hear/see the very last piece of the show. My DVR cut off right when Lisa was talking to Nick while sitting on her bed at her parents' home. So, I didn't get to see the previews for tonight's episode. What I've read is that we see flashbacks of Latisha and Dutch's affair, Simon and Karen have chemistry when they both go to the hospital to visit Patrick more on that), and Brian gets arrested for trying to bribe the arbitrator.

Ok, I go back and forth and back and forth on who is NOT Tripp's child. Why would Latisha push a relationship between Karen and Nick if she knew they were sibs? The twins just don't make any sense to me, maybe other viewers can see it, I don't. Brian is always talking about how different he is from the Darlings- even though in my opinion, he's not. Bribing the arbitrator, trying to give the mother of Brian Jr $3 million to give him custody of the boy, that's all pretty low-down. Plus, in the first few episodes, Brian never skipped an opportunity to say how much he hated Dutch and Nick. Patrick is Tripp's namesake and obvious choice. Who is it???

Who else LOVED when Carmalita came to Ellen and Patrick's hotel room? Or when she told Patrick to take a walk? LOVED it. Then, when Patrick told Ellen that he had gone to see Carmalita after the crazy meeting with Tripp, Simon and Nick- she freaked. We got to see a bit of her heart. Or temper because then she shot him in the leg with a double barrel shotgun.

Nick really is stupid. He was stupid with Tripp, Simon, Karen and Lisa. He needs to tell Karen what's up. Unless there is something there. ?

Helio Castroneves has split from his fiancee Aliette Vazquez. Her rep made a statement to TMZ.com about rumors and privacy. The crazy thing is that I just saw him on The View and he talked about her. He talked about how she supported him and met Julianne! Julianne said she was going to teach them dances for the wedding.

Of course there is much speculation as to the nature of Julianne and Helio's relationship. They looked pretty cozy together last night and throughout the season. There were kisses.

Last night's DWTS was the finals. The three remaining couples: Mel B and Maks, Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts and Helio C. and Julianne Hough did 2 dances. The first dance was one the judges picked and then a freestyle. This was really the three couples least impressive performances so far. In my opinion, and A LOT of others (but apparently not enough), Marie should have gone a long time ago. Last night, she did a silly, stiff, CREEPY, freestyle dance dressed as a DOLL. It was awful! Then, she was bitchy to the judges.

I voted my allotted 4 times- 3 times for Julianne (ahem, Helio) and 1 time for Mel B. I've LOVED Julianne since I've seen her. I think she's so beautiful and sweet and a fantastic dancer/choreographer. I think that Mel B might win and that's fine. As long as creepy Marie doesn't win. Julianne Hough.

Yeah, I knew there was a reason I stopped watching this show! Last night, "Bachelor" Brad Womack was supposed to give his final rose to one of the last two women, Jenni or DeAnna. Well, he picked NEITHER! I agree that you probably cannot fall in love and get engaged in 6 (or so) weeks time while not even dating. You're surrounded by cameras, other people in the relationship, no one is themselves. I get all of that and that is mostly why I think the show is stupid and I shouldn't even watch.

OK, don't tell lies though. That's all I'm saying. Tonight is the "After the Final Rose" episode and I can't wait to see what happens. There are all kinds of rumors all over the 'net. 1) He proposes to Jenni. 2) He proposes to DeAnna. 3) He's back with his ex-girlfriend (who he reportedly text-messaged throughout the show) (also rumors that she is pregnant or that they have a 2 year-old) 4) He's gay. Brad Womack is 34, lives in Austin and is the co-owner of 4 bars.
Jenni is 27 and is a Phoenix Suns dancer. I love her :)

Shoeaddict Says "It's Sew Time!"

I know, I'm so behind with this. Sorry. I also know that my pictures are out of order and it's all crazy. I'm not great with the posting of the pictures. OK, here we go with the review of the first episode of season 4 of Project Runway. This show is one of my favorites. I love Heidi, Tim and the great personalities that show up each season.

So, the 15 contestants show up at their apartments, we meet them, hear a bit about them. Jillian is wearing a very cute baby blue outfit. She worked/works at Ralph Lauren. Carmen was a model and her pictures were beautiful! She's all funky now with an 80's haircut. She's all about being there first. (?) Sweet P was in a motorcycle gang. WTH? OK... The nickname thing is really silly. Oh, the boys. Kevin is quick to point out that he is straight- hee hee. Christian is the youngest and you can tell throughout the show. His hair is cuh-ray-zee.

The designers are called to Bryant Park (wow!) where Heidi and Tim meet up with them. Heidi looks awesome! The challenge is not the usual 1st challenge of making something with groceries and stuff but make something that represents them as designers. There are three tents set up with $50,000 worth of material. They must run to the tents and grab whatever they want in 10 minutes.

OK, yes, ha ha, Chris, the overweight one, didn't run like the wind like everyone else. And because FAT is a discrimination and something to make fun of, it was emphasized. The other designers are picking their materials and camera pans to Chris who is still running. It was mean. Then everybody grabs A TON of fabric and Elisa takes SILK CHIFFON and rubs it in the grass. WHAT?!?! She is "organic." Gimmie a freakin break.

They all head back over to Parson's to begin work on their masterpieces. Everyone is still shocked at Elisa and how coo-coo she seems. I think it's the definition of ironic when Christian, with his way crazy hair says she's "strange." She's finished with her dress early and it's not very good. I think Simone has beautiful eyebrows and a great face.

Can I just say, before we get to the dresses, I want a Bluefly.com accessories wall. Seriously, I want shelves like that for all my shoes and bags- totally! Rami's dress was the winner. I love this dress, especially the COLOR. The dress was made well, draped well and just classy. I don't like his model (they were just chosen for the designer) much. Those shoes are gross.
Jack's design. I loved this one, too. The colors, again, fab. I love, love black and white. The added turquoise is just kick ass. Jack is HIV positive but has not announced it yet on the show. I read it in PEOPLE magazine.
Creepy Marion Lee designed this undone crap. It's frumpy, it's too much lace and the skirt is not good.
Steven does remind me of Laura (season 2) (someone said that on their blog, sorry that I don't remember who). I loved Laura for soooooo many reasons and I really like this suit by Steven. It's well executed and elegant. I like this model, she's got Laura hair.
Carmen's design. I am down with the pants but the rest is crazy.

This is Simone's. It is boring and poorly executed. I hated the colors. The jacket thing didn't "go" with the dress. The judges hated it too and she was eliminated.
Jillian's orange dress. I liked it. I am very drawn to the color once again. The skirt is different and I liked it a lot. It's the top that kept me from loving it.
Christian's dress with the jacket that I HATED! The judges were back and forth about it. The material, the pattern of the jacket, is hideous. I don't think the jacket, in a different material would be so bad. Maybe.
Victorya's design. I loved this one, too.

Ricky's design. He designs lingerie and this babydoll definitely looks like it belongs in the VS catalog. But it's cute.

This is Elisa's concoction. Her poor model tripped over the miles of fabric pouring out of the back like a tail. Heidi said it looked like she was "pooing fabric." The dress without the train is not the worse I've seen. Those boots... my goodness! She was in the bottom 2 with Simone.
I really thought this dress was gorgeous. Chris designed this jewel toned gown with the tie-top. I love this.
Kevin's design. Hated it. What is that tacky crap in the middle?
Kit designed this awful thing. I love black and white and red- see other blog but what is this? The red thing is just unnecessary.

Sweet P designed this one. I thought it looked like a potato sack on the runway. It still looks very "sack-like" to me.

Yeah, I don't know if I'll continue doing these big huge posts! This took forever and I'm not sure if it's even good. Whew, sorry. My first impressions- Elisa is gonna be crazy and make for good TV. I think that's why she stayed in. Ricky is the funny, emotional one. I like that. Jack is a pretty Queen. The entire bunch seems to have an impressive resume'. Can't wait to see what happens next.

My whole TV watching schedule has been different since staying at Maison Parents. I still watch a lot of the same stuff just not at the same time as usual. Plus, I've added even more shows- shows that mom watched and I didn't (The Bachelor, Survivor:China, The Biggest Loser). There are tons of shows that I watch that she doesn't, though and most of those I can watch online. I hope that I'm not hurting the writers on strike by doing that.

I think it's OK because they are already written. I think not buying boxed sets of TV shows and stuff like that will be ways to support the writers. We can also write letters. I have the addresses if anyone is interested. But, I'm not writing about the writers' strike, even though it is going to affect our (my) lives- those of us who watch TV.

The point of this post- to tell you the shows I watch. Every. single. one. that I'm watching right now. I've weeded out and added and I have my list. Tons of shows overlap so, there are lots of DVR'ing and watching online. Here it is- it's a lot. A LOT!!!!

LIVE blogging while watching Dirty Sexy Money. Here's the thing, I know that not many of you read this but, I don't care- much. I can't stop blogging. I am very opinionated and I watch all these shows by myself (Luke watches sports, that's all) so, I like to express them somehow.

-Why did Karen tell Nick "no" to his proposal? Are we gonna find out?

-Simon Elders, hmmmm? He's "C"?

-Freddy (Karen's fiance') is an idiot. Brian is creepy.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH, the twins are having a birthday party! Trouble in paradise because Juliet and Jeremy are fighting about Natalie. They have to split the party now and the money. They will also be recieving a $25 million trust from their mom's father. The other children recieved theirs on their 25th.

I'm dying to know about the DNA results. I keep shifting my thinking on which child it may be- Patrick, the heir, the politician? Karen, the one who slept with Nick-who'd be her half brother? Brian, who is so different from the other Darlings and who has a real hate for Dutch and Nick? Or the twins? Hmmmmmm????

Samarie Armstrong checked herself into therapy (for "eating disorders", reportedly) and might miss one episode. I love her. I love Juliet, too. I know I said that in my last post about DSM. I also am not convinced about Jeremy and Natalie. They have been together for half a minute and he's throwing away his sister for her? I know there is a child involved but, really? C'mon. I'm just a really loyal person. If he really loves Natalie and his child, he'd tell his family and make Juliet get along with her. What do you think?

Blogger is driving me nuts. The curser keeps moving. I'm eating a fantastic eggplant rollini. Yummy!

Shoeaddict and the Dancers LIVE! LATIN NIGHT

Yeah, so I decided to LIVE blog while watching Dancing with the Stars. Let's go...

MARIE & Jonathan (Samba)- She just creeps. me. out. She is just yuck with the overt sexuality. I HATE that costume. OHMIGOD she just fainted. They just take a commercial and no one even seems bothered! She's probably dizzy from the head spinning and the not eating to fit in the spandex. Marie is fine- we'll see the replay all week.
Judges score- 21

JANE & Tony (Rumba)- She's so elegant and has such a beautiful body. He is creepy and very strict. She is pretty good if a bit boring. LOVE the dress! This was not a boring performance. I take that back. The judges seem to like it except Carrie who gave her some pointers.

MARK & Kym (Samba)- He's a spaz. He's got a ton of fans, though. Is he married? Girlfriend? He gets so into it with his face. Can't wait to see this. Oh, I Dream of Jeannie. She looks cute. He is so stiff and not good- it's time for him to go. The judges know it's time for him to go, too. (Commercials last for-ev-er! I'm eating my Craisins Trail Mix and flipping the channels. This is awesome Trail Mix- cranberries, banana, pineapple, papaya, honey-roasted peanuts, cashews and coconut)

Sabrina & Mark (Ramba)- Last week, they got a perfect score. Their have been rumors that the two of them are romantically involved... I know it's very hard not to believe that when watching them dance this dance. This was HOT! This was very good and they are GREAT actors if they don't have something going on... I wouldn't want my husband to be dancing this dance with someone other than me. It's very hip-y and lots of in-your-face, slinky-ness, close to each other. Mark said the dance is a vertical expression of horizontal desires. Whoa!

JENNIE & Derek (Samba)- She was cuter in her video before the dance but I liked it better last week when she was with her kids. She is so stiff. She is not relaxed at all. I like yellow on her. Hey! Tori Spelling and Jennifer Espisito in the audience. Len is the only judge who liked it. She has really disappointed me. I was a MAJOR B.H. 90210 fan- MAJOR. I mean, I was so into it you cannot even imagine. It affected my emotions. I loved Dylan. Luke Perry still gets to me. I had an unnatural hate for Kelly because I loved Brenda and Dylan together. I was so sad when the show ended. Devastated. I liked Claire (Steve's g/f) but I did like Steve being married with a baby. David and Donna were great. Dylan was my dream though.

HELIO & Julianne (Rumba)- I love her. She is the best choreographer. He's married, I think. That's probably why it's hard for them to find the SEX chemistry for this dance. He has been doing really well. Her outfit is just awesome and good lord- not even half an eight count into it and I was impressed. I thought it was very pretty. The judges thought it was too mechanical and I kinda agree but I think it's because they aren't in love and aren't having sex. The technical part of it was good, I thought.

I'm sososososo behind! My DVR is backed up beyond belief and I don't know when I'm gonna watch the shows. I'm not feeling well and have been in bed a lot. The DVR is in the living room. Tonight is Dancing with the Stars and Two and a Half Men. I don't know what else.

I'm hoping that Mel B gets more votes because I couldn't believe that she was in the bottom two last week. Marie's dress last week was disgusting! Some of the other's were really awesome though: Mel's, Jane's, and Julianna's. Edyta should just go in a thong. Tonight is "Latin Night"- should be good.

I'll be here in my bed watching it and eating Craisins- LOVE THEM!!

And that he brought up, in the end, that she was "so in love" with Denny and pushed him away and now is breaking up George's marriage. This is a classic case of "he was mine and now he has a girlfriend so, NOW I want him" syndrome. It's very real BELIEVE me. My hubs had a friend that he had no feelings for and I don't think she did either, until I came along. Then, Uh-Oh!! She decided she wanted him then. Ummm, no.

Also, Derek's words to Meredith were so sweet. I wanna marry you. I want to die at 110 years-old in your arms. I want to have children. That is so very perfect. What does she WANT? I DO NOT get it. I guess it's me. I just DO NOT get what she wants from anyone. I cannot stand her.

It's 9:53pm and I'm watching Dirty Sexy Money. I'm watching the very end of DSM and freaking out. I guessed that one of the Darling children were Dutch's but, which????

Karen- because of the whole Nick thing? That would be gross and wouldn't they have stopped it?

Patrick- because Tripp is all into his political career. That would hurt him.

Brian- he's so different from everyone else, he hates Nick, he's the obvious choice (to me)

I don't think it's the twins, Juliet and Jeremy, just because. But, here I am screaming at the TV- Patrick? No, No, Brian!? No, all of them?! None of them? Brian, it's Brian! Who is it????

And "C" is Brian Elders? What is that?

I really love this show.

I'm glad Lisa finally told Karen something but, I doubt it will make her leave Nick alone. I'm of the belief that the spouse that has the "crap" deals with it. Example- If Luke's parents are a problem, he talks to them, not me and vise versa. So, I think Nick needs to be firmer with Karen because she's out of control.

What do you think about Jeremy and Juliet? I love Juliet ("She has decided") and brunette-girlfriend (what's her name) is obnoxious! All they do is have sex! Well, now she's pregnant and he says he's in love... ???

By the way, Private Practice was actually good tonight. Kate Walsh is so pretty. I know it's her show but my same opinion still stands- Amy Brennaman's Violet dominates the show.

I thought Ambreal should've gone home on ANTM instead of the Liza look-a-like. Lisa is pretty and I liked Tyra's advice of never dim your light for any one- or something like that. Tyra the philosopher, huh?

Shoeaddict Says... Makeover Time on BatG

Hello all. I'm so sad tonight. My mommy and daddy are gone. :( I talked to my daddy today at around 3:00 (10:00 Paris time) and I was glad to hear from him. I've spoken to mama twice and this was the first day I got to talk to daddy. They are having fun, eating sharp cheeses and crusty breads (my fav), drinking wine and hanging out. They have not discussed shopping- I know I'm not getting any Loubous, though.

Anyway, it's Makeover time on Beauty and the Geek and I love a good makeover! (Do y'all hate my love! of! the! exclamation! points! ?) Did y'all see the makeovers on ANTM last week? What is up with Tyra? Maybe it's just me and my lack of knowledge but a bowl haircut? What? I thought it would look awesome blunt cut, all sharp angles.

On to the beauties and the geeks. Last week, Sam and Rebecca did the naughty-naughty in the room with Nicole. How mean and gross? Nicole FREAKED out and basically blamed it all on Rebecca because "Sam is a guy." That was silly. The whole house was pretty much sick of Rebecca and Will and they got nominated and then lost the elimination challenge.

We see at the beginning, Erin and Jesse coming back from the elimination challenge and everyone is happy except Rebecca. Then Shay is telling us all about Joshua's poor hygiene habits saying, "He's like an alien visiting the United States." She is teaching him how to wash his face- put the water on it... yes, I'm not kidding.

Then for the challenges. The host gathers the teams together and says they will be "Going Back to School, " for the beauties- Reading, Writing and Arithmetic (to which Erin replies, "What's Arithmetic?") and the geeks' is a surprise but they learn they will get the makeover. The makeovers will consist of new outfits, haircuts, shaves and waxes. They are adjourned and begin to discuss the makeovers. The beauties tell the geeks what they really need- new shoes!, no jean shorts!, haircut!, no numbers on your watch!(calculator watch), totally new wardrobe!

Hollywood stylists "The Kids" are providing the wardrobe and the owner-and staff- of The Heroin Salon is gonna help with "salon-y" stuff. The geeks are HI-LAR-Y-OUS! The waxing! "Plum is Hot!" And watching them prance around.

Then the reveal-first up is Jesse. He got his hair dies super-platinum blonde. Does great things for his face. Next is Dave- the pudgy, hairy, Hawaiian shirt geek. OHMIGOD- he looks adorable! Great hair cut. It's messy and curly in all the right places and he got shaved and waxed to death. William- eh. He got turned into a redhead and I don't like it. His partner doesn't either. Then Joshua (who had the very critical beauty Shay) comes out and Shay cries! They have him dressed all Poindexter in a suit and tie.

*Gasp* The one I've been waiting for- Nicole. I thought when she came into the house that she was certainly NOT an ugly girl. She has pretty skin, hair, lips. She looked beautiful and needed the boost very much. Hearing her say that when she came into the house that she knew she'd always be the ugliest girl in the house- that's heartbreaking. Next was Luke and he was very proud of himself. He also seemed to find it all very simplistic because he said that if that was all he had to do it would have saved him a lot of trouble a long time ago. Finally was John who got a significant cut and contacts. He looks adorable.

Now they learn there will be a prom. They cannot ask their own partner, Nicole can ask a male geek (because she's a female geek) and some beauties will have to stay home because of the uneven numbers. Let the freakout begin!

We learn that Dave has a crush on Nicole (awwww) and then Nicole asks John, instead. Dave then asks Katie. Awwww, I love a crush.

The next day, the beauties have their challenge put before them. They must teach (yes, teach) actual students a lesson as the principal watches. It's so painful to watch. The kids are giving the answer and they have NO CLUE if the kids are right! Plus, their boobs are all hanging out. Sam did well as did Shay. The winner- SHAY. She deserved it from the looks of things and her partner, Joshua, was so sweet about it.

They get all dressed up (so cute) and go to the prom. At the prom, they take pictures and dance and have a good time. The challenge is then announced. They have to become popular with the other students at the dance by mingling and campaigning. They are pretty nervous and funny- and geeky! JOHN wins and he and Nicole got to dance in the center.

I don't dislike either of the two teams but, I like Nicole. I'd also love to see Dave tell Nicole he has a crush on her. So cute.

Have I told y'all about Kimora? She is so funny, so over-the-top, so very watchable on her new reality show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane. The show follows her as she launches her KLS Collection, which is fancier than the Baby Phat line. Just in case you don't know, Kimora is the creator of the Baby Phat line. She and husband, Russell Simmons are separated and it's not known if the divorce is finalized.

Kimora Perkins was born to an Asian mom and black father in St. Louis. At 13, she was awarded an exclusive contract with Chanel and just after she turned 14, she left for Paris to work as Karl Lagerfield's (Chanel's famous designer) muse. At 14, she was already 6 feet tall.

She met Russell (and Tyra Banks- who is her best friend and godmother to her daughter, Ming Lee) while modeling and in 1998, the two were married. He is the creator of Phat Farm and co-creator of Def Jam Records. She created Baby Phat which is the female counterpart of the line. They also created 2 daughters, who model for Baby Phat, Ming Lee (7) and Aoki Lee (4). In the pic above, Aoki is the one all "Heeeeey" posing.

I don't know how many episodes I've missed or whatever. I don't even know when the new ones come on (I know, I'm so ashamed!) but, I found it on one Sunday on the Style channel and I've seen a few. Yes, she is so very bitchy- a lot. She is a D-I-V-A to the Nth degree, for sure. I don't know her, I don't know true facts about her but, my lil 'ole opinion is this: she works and even though lots of people work harder and get paid a lot less- she's been working since she was 13. Yes, she may be bitchy to her (many) assistants and employees but, she's paying them to work for her. I don't ever want to be any one's personal assistant; packing their suitcases, ordering their lunch, making their appointments or whatever but, they know what they are in for, right?

Kimora has awesome sound bytes, too! I have DVR'ed a few and I watched them today. She was looking for a house in L.A. because she is going to be spending more time there and the house she has was just not big enough. So she tells her real estate agent that she wants a perfect, big (at least 7 bedrooms), homey house in a great neighborhood. She wants that in 3 days and right now is day 1. Her price range- she says about, 4, 5. 6 to 12, 15 million. Good Lord! Good. Lord.

The agent decides to take her in a helicopter ride to see which neighborhood(s) she likes to narrow it down a bit. This is where one of my FAV Kimora lines comes in. Kimora, Russ (the agent) and Sandra (Kimora's executive assistant) go up to the 'copter. Kimora is loosing her mind because she is afraid of heights and closterphobic. She's trying to tell Sandra, who is behind her, that she is scared and has to call on Jesus. C'mon Sandra we gots to call on Jesus, (she turns around and finds her on the phone), damn, Sandra, I'm tryin to call on Jesus and you're on the phone don't you know my nerves is bad! i don't know the exact quote but, it was funny because- CHILD, my nerves is fo' sho' bad!!

Okay, I stopped writing that on Sunday and am starting back on Tuesday. I just watched another epi on the DVR. The one where there was a launch party for the Hello Kitty jewelry line at the Phat Farm/Baby Phat flagship store. She's funny in that one too. She gets a fung shui expert to come in and look at the store and her office. When the f.s. lady comes to meet her at her office, she says "Hi, I'm Whatevertheheckthef.s.lady'snamewas" and Kimora says, "Hi, I'm fabulous!" The f.s. lady just looks at her like OKAAAAAAAY!

So, f.s. lady tells her she is sitting in a perfect spot in the office because she can see everyone before they can see her. Kimora tells her, "That's a hood thing." I thought that was funny, too. What else, what else...?

Shoeaddict Loves Samantha

Tonight was the premiere of Samantha Who? starring Christina Applegate, Jean Smart, Barry Watson and Jennifer Esposito. These are actors that I really like and I could not wait for this show to premiere. I honestly didn't have high hopes, though. The premise just seemed... trite? Maybe that's the wrong word. It just seemed really tired.

Samantha Newly (Christina Applegate) is in a coma for 8 days after she's in a hit-and -run accident. When she wakes up she has amnesia and doesn't remember anything. She doesn't know her parents (mom is Jean Smart), her best friend (Jennifer Esposito) or her live-in boyfriend (Barry Watson). She also doesn't know that she was/is basically a cheating bitch.

Despite the cast, I really didn't expect to like this show. I was surprised because I LOVED it. I was extremely irritated because my DVR cut the show off when Samantha shows up at her parents' house in the middle of the night! I have no idea how much-or what- I missed. I swear I feel like I should just DVR the whole night. This happens too much.

Bottom line: I'm supposed to be purging the DVR and I just seem to be adding more and more!

It's game night on Wisteria Lane. Whoo hoo!! Charades and Mary Jane- the roll it up, smoke it up- illegal kind. I DVR'ed it and now I'm watching and blogging- something I love to do.

How much do I love Lynette's mom telling Andrew, Bree's evil son, to get "the best [weed] he can get. Nothing is too good for my little girl." I doubt certain people want to know my feelings about medicinal marijuana. Felicity Huffman is such a fabulous actress. Lynette looks really bad. What type of cancer does she have again? I don't remember. Brain? Breast? Did they even say?

Oh! Why did Bree send Susan to the bowels of hell for obstetrical care? Really, what's up with the scary lady with the HUGE teeth there to buy- clean urine? Gross! Plus, why can't Susan open up the phone book? I guess I'd rather ask for my close pregnant friend's recommendation instead of blindly choosing someone. Who was she using before? Someone who retired and then the creepy neighbor took over??

OMIGOD! I love Edie's coat. Gorgeous hair and lips... Sneaky with the ring. I love Gabby's outfit, too but really, why are they all dressed like that? Haven't they heard of jeans and tops? You can still look really cute in dark jeans, cute top and heels, right? Now, poor Susan looks good. Even though she's just come back from gyno YUUCKVILLE. You know, where she said there were rat traps on the speculum table and the doc may have taken pictures of her "parts" with a cell phone! *shiver*

I love Gabby telling Carlos (about Edie)- "She's wearing a big honkin engagement ring the size of a peach pit." And that Bree is trying to drunk up Katherine to get her secrets. And that stoned Lynette is cracking up over SpongeBob then karate kicks Susan's lamp- and she doesn't even know she's stoned! Plus, good to know the official charades "sign" for poem. I suddenly would love some grapes or lobster! HA...

Orsen just went for a phone call and Lynette is passing around the "special brownies." Showdown between the bitchy new neighbor and Gabby. Katherine is a liar about Dylan's dad, huh? I wonder... She is also creepy and wacky. Victor is a worm. Why hasn't Gabby dropped him, with or without Carlos? She doesn't HAVE to have a man. But boy do I love them together- "I love the way you love me." Hey Gabby, I know EXACTLY the way you feel.

Another beautiful scene filled with emotion that included Felicity Huffman. This time it's between Lynette and her mother. Oh- it was laughter through tears. ("Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion" -Truvy, Steel Magnolias)

Creepy Katherine probably killed her daughter and her husband! I don't know!! It's all just nuts-o. And what is Carlos doing to Edie? Getting rid of the account? Giving her money? What is with the CPA? Am I dumb?

Next week- kinky sex with costumes, crabs and politics, Oh My!

I also DVR'ed Cold Case and Shark. I don't know who else watches these. I know some of you watch Brothers & Sisters. Feel free to discuss here....

Grey's Anatomy (Let the Truth Sting)
Thursday, 9/8 central on ABC

Ohmigod, y'all! I loved the episode last night!! For me, it was like the Grey's of old. It invoked all different emotions in me- laughter, tears, nerves. It was a glimmer of what it used to be. Even the characters were back to being who they have always been. I think there may be hope.

Alex was brilliant during his procedure in saving the day but he can't stand for George to get any type of attention and ended up proving to be a big 'ole cad in the end by outing him as a "repeater" at the end of the show. Who else wanted to wring his neck? And the eye thing- if that would've been my kid, I'da freaked!! Do y'all think he's in love with Izzie? Or that he wants her or something like that and knows there is something going on with Izzie and George? I know he's an ass, I do, but I really think he's more complex than he wants people to think.

Derek and Mark seem to be slowly rebuilding their friendship which is a good thing. I think with Addison gone, it will be easier for them. I also think Derek was right about the surgery. Mark and the Chief were just trying to puff their egos. Something that bothered me- when the kid that had the spinal fluid building in his brain collapsed and everyone was freaking out? OK, is Dr. Shepard the ONLY neurologist (or whatever) in the entire freaking hospital? That was kooky.

Meredith was her usual hot/cold, hot/cold self with someone (her half-sister Lexi- who I don't really like, yet) who is throwing themselves at her with their emotion. Well, I suppose she has been consistently cold but then last night began to change her tune by going over Lexi's mothers death note with her. You know she'll be all cold with her again soon. Neither girl ever did anything to the other. It's not Lexi's fault Mer's dad left her. Plus, both girls have lost their mothers, they could be close. She (Mer) is obsessed with being screwed up and I really have no patience with that.

I was in love with Charlie AKA Really Old Guy. I am THE biggest sucker for elderly people and he was the cutest. His lines, especially his banter with Izzie, were adorable ("I don't like you!" "Oh, really? I thought we were B.F.F.s" Too cute! Or when he said he was gonna die-NOW- and he grunted and squeezed his eyes shut and Izzie told him he wasn't gonna die but poop in his pant!) and touching. I freaked out when Izzie started pulling out plugs and wires- HELLO! Do you like doing that? Good Gracious! And I'm glad Charlie told her what's-what about having an affair with a married man. I don't think Izzie is a bad person, just lonely and jealous.

George. Oh George! I thought it was good for him to tell Izzie what he told her. I think he never should have told her he loved her in the first place. HE'S MARRIED! It doesn't matter if he regrets it or doesn't love Callie or loves Izzie or whatever. He needs to be unmarried before getting tangled up with Izzie. PERIOD. I thought it was brave of him to tell Mark and the Chief they were wrong about doing the riskier surgery. And then- whoa, wasn't he shocked when Chatty Cathy reveals to her friends (on his advice- kinda) that they have bad hair, breath and pants! Too funny.

Miranda was working in the clinic, fielding resident/intern problems and basically doing Callie's job all day while Callie was hiding out doing paperwork. Miranda demands to know why she's not doing her job and Callie says because Miranda does it so much better and she's sick of fighting. I felt so bad for her. I felt bad for Miranda and Callie. In the end, Miranda went to Callie and told her that she had been having trouble with this situation. She was used to being number one and now she was going to be Callie's number two (the best number two the hospital has ever seen) and work with her. The two will probably be a force to be reckoned with once they come together.

George tells Callie in the last scene that he slept with Izzie.

What did y'all think of this episode? Like I've said, I feel like Grey's is on the road to recovery. Also, a little bit of news, Private Practice is the highest rated new show. Shocked? Sad? Yeah...

Pushing Daisies

(Wednesday, 8/7 central ABC)

This show is amazing. It's beautiful and the attention to detail is ungodly. Seriously, give it a chance. You can go to ABC.com to watch any episode(s) you may have missed. It's the story of Ned, a shy pie maker, who has a secret gift/curse. He can raise people from the dead BUT there are rules. Once he touches the dead, he has one minute to speak with them (keep them alive) or another living thing near by dies. Once he touches them again, he/she/it dies permanently.

He begins his business, The Pie Hole, and when it is in financial trouble he and private investigator, Emerson Cod, make a deal. Emerson finds out about murders and unsolved cases and Ned touches the victim. The victim wakes up, tells who killed him/her and the two collect the reward. All is well for the two until Charlotte Charles' body is found.

Before he ever knew all the rules, he accidentally killed Charlotte's (Chuck), his childhood sweetheart, dad. And he killed his own mom- kinda. Chuck has never left his thoughts and when he goes to touch her, he can't re-touch her, killing her forever. He brings her back home and tells her about his gift but not about her father. They can NEVER touch or she will die.

It is such a unique show. The writing is fantastic!! Give this one a chance because I have it on good authority that it's sticking around.

Touched by the Kids

Kid Nation (Wednesday, 8/7 central CBS)

I continue to be completely blown away by the kids of Bonanza City. If you have children and you are not watching this show with them, you should at least give it a chance. My mom watches it too and last night (after I'd watched some- I DVR'ed), I told her these kids could do a better job running this country than anyone else I can think of. I cry during every show because they are so amazingly insightful and adorable. Of course they are kids and do kid things but, they also say, do and understand things that adults for centuries have not been able to understand or agree.

Last nights episode focused on religion. The children were smart enough to realize that everyone is different and has different beliefs. I was raised in a small town. I had no idea about religions other than Christianity until I was older than 9 or 10! The kids were discussing religion and as the very intelligent Zach, 10, who is Jewish says, "Religion is a very touchy matter. That's what makes people fight, I mean, religion is most of the things that start wars." The 4 town leaders hold the meeting telling the town members that should have a religious service. They wanted to have one service with representatives from different religions speaking. A lot of the kids didn't like this idea for fear that the differences would cause fights and thought the religious services should be kept separate. One child, Alex, 9, said, "There's a lot of things that are central to all religions and we can just focus on those instead of focusing on the differences." How smart is that?

Later, smart little Alex decided that he'd do a survey in the town to see what religion everyone was- he was KILLING me with cute and smart. His findings: majority are Christian, a few people are Jewish, one person is Hindu, 3 people are atheist, and a few other people were other. How cute and smart is Alex.

The town leaders called the service to order and no one showed. People were afraid of fighting, some were not comfortable, others were not very tolerant or understanding. That night, Morgan, 12, the peacemaker, called on them to come by the bonfire for prayer- if they wanted. The children felt more comfortable and went. Many kids prayed, including Zach who sang a Hebrew prayer. Let me tell y'all- this is where I lost it. I cried and cried. Then a sweet boy talked about how the coming together and praying had touched him and he started crying... Good Lord, it was over then. I was all "If...these...sniff...sweet babies can...sniff...do this...hic...well...what's wrong with...hic...this country!"

Now, Taylor- little Miss Queen- she's getting on my nerves! Granted I wouldn't have lasted a day there as a child OR now. I would sleep all morning (but not on the floor!) and I would not be able to "go" in a port-a-potty or eat what they are eating. And they are cold. Plus, are they bathing? Those bunks probably smell like wet squirrels! I'm glad yellow isn't the Upper Class anymore because that's Taylor. She always acts like Upper Class anyway. Blue wins U.C., Red is the merchants, yellow is the cooks, green the laborers. No one wants the yellow to be the cooks because they don't cook! They are the youngest team and Taylor is their leader. The whole town gets a reward and they get to choose between two- a miniature golf course or a library of holy books (Bible, Torah, Koran, etc). The town leaders allowed everyone to vote and the books won. I'm shocked. I think parents are doing a better job than the "media" and such are giving credit.

Then there was 9 year old Cody. He was very, very homesick. He was crying. He has a best friend, Campbell and they are SO CUTE. Cody told Campbell that he was very homesick and upset. Campbell said, "Well, I think you should do something to get your mind off of it like... ummm, looking at cows is fun!" So sweet. Cody said, "I need to go to the soda salon, drink a root beer and get my mind off of it." Seriously, adorable. Of course, I cried, again.

The town leaders had to discuss who deserved the gold star. People they discussed- Zach, Morgan, Greg. Taylor doesn't want Zach, of course, because he's a yellow team member and threatens her "leadership". Mike still is hesitant about Greg's motives (rightfully so) but, everyone agrees that Morgan is wonderful. She is humble, loving, helpful, and motherly. Morgan reminds me of My Maria a lot.

Every week, there is an official town meeting with the "host" of the show. He asks if they approve of the job the town leaders are doing. When this was asked, Taylor's behavior was brought up and she acted like a brat. Then, he asks if anyone would like to go home. Little Cody raised his hand and broke poor Campbell's heart. The whole town was sad and crying (what do you think I did?) Then the gold star was awarded. The winner- Morgan. She deserved it. She got to call her parents which always gets me, too.

This show touches me more than any other show has. I realize things about children that I never knew. I also think it is very inspirational. These little souls are wonderful and I look forward to seeing them every week. Check it out.

Dancing with the Stars LIVE!

Hey y'all! Or should I say, Hey Kelli,Kate & Kate!! I'm talking Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) tonight. I'm watching and blogging- from the beginning so, a rambling (snarky!) post and heeeeeere I go!

Sabrina & Mark (the Jive)- Of course she is good. I will continue to say this- THIS IS WHAT SHE DOES!! She is a dancer. No, not ballroom but she has an unfair advantage over say, a BOXER. The judges don't really like when she does hip-hopy moves, though. The jive is such a perfect dance for someone like her. See, even Drew knows it's true (asking if the choreography is too easy) that this is not a "competition" for her.
She looked cute, though. I loved the ponytail and that shocking blue color is very big this fall (not in sequins on a dance costume)
JUDGES SCORE- 27 (out of 30)

Cameron & Edyta (the Tango)- I watched All My Children a few years ago when I lived with my SIL, Haley. Cameron Matheson is so hot! I have not changed my mind about that. Ewwww, not a good song choice. Edyta is smoking in that dress! Whoa- they were good. I give him lots of credit because his day job is HARD. I also agree that is wasn't a great sizzlin' Tango but, it wasn't bad. (The "Bachelor" is ugly) Good scores!

Mark & Kym (the Jive)- He tries so hard! The hip thing is insane!!! I've always thought he was cheesy. I'm not saying that's changed. His face does weird things and he's all cookey.

Mel B & Maksim (the Jive)- GREAT song- a jitterbuggin' song. Their dance is cheesy. I know it's difficult and she is good. She is like Sabrina, though. She's a dancer and performer for a living! I like her costume. Zebra print is hotness. She had a baby 6 months ago!! That is insanity. The judges loved it. Her best dance? I liked last weeks dance better. What do I know?

Wayne & Cheryl (the Tango)- Wayne a cowboy? Oh the 'stache.... And ponytail! He's so stiff. I am afraid he'll hurt her. It's awkward. Oh the judges love the "character"- whatever.

Floyd & Karina (Jive)-I would think he could do this dance well. He's got what L calls "good feet." LOVE, LOVE the song. He needs to control his arms. Pretty good job. He has a great smile. She's living with her "star" from last seasons show- Mario Lopez.

Jane & Tony (Tango)- Oh Jane. How sad. That was just really emotional. I love her wig. She really is very beautiful. The top of her dress is stunning. AWWWW! Her twin boys are so cute. A very lovely tribute to her mom.

Helio & Julianne (Jive)- She is my favorite dancer. She is so good and the best choreographer. They look amazing right away. Helio stumbles a little at the end and tears his pants! Julianne is beautiful and that name is a favorite. Oooooooh the judges are giving him grief.

Marie & Jonathan (Tango)- She flirts and flirts waaaaaaay too much (last show). It's grody. Plus, she makes those very creepy porcelain dolls. Whoa, the end. She bent over backwards, literally and her dress dropped, I think Bruno is in lurve with her.

Desperate Housewives.... Let's go *SPOILERS*

What a big 'ole bitch Katherine is. Maybe no one agrees with me but I just think that everyone was all fine and dandy with the way things are and she goes and rocks the boat. Maybe Bree could've backed off and let her bring the dessert but for Katherine to SWITCH the pies- that was LOW!

So, Susan goes to a teenage party thinking that Julie is drinking/going topless/partying too hard but is dressed like a stripper with her pregnant boobs all hanging out? WTH?? She finds Julie, grabs her drink and takes a big swig, thinking she's gonna bust her with an alcoholic beverage, right? SHE'S PREGNANT!! Teri Hatcher really needs to tell the writers and directors and anyone who will listen that she doesn't want to be the big dummy on the show. Last week, she got all the flack for a racist remark that Susan made. (BTW, does Julie know she is pregnant? The show is not over yet.)

Edie is getting on my last nerve. She is smart though. She really knew what she was doing when she found that account. (Carlos looks better than he EVER has.)

Lynette. *Sigh* I knew she was gonna make me cry. Well, actually, it was Gaby. That was really good. Eva Longoria did a better job than I thought she was capable of- soap opera vet. That is NOT a put down either. I have much love and respect for soap opera actors.

OHHHHHH, Bree is breaking into Katherine's house. Ohhhhhhh, they're home! She just slapped Dylan and Bree heard them talking about having a seeeeeeeecrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeet (secret). I am wondering what is it???? What do y'all think?

So, that's what I'm calling these posts now. I see that this blog is not a big hit but I'm still keeping it going. I love TV, I love writing and sharing my opinion (even if it's with myself!) and this helps me keep track off what I'm watching. A Lot... More than ever- it's amazing! I'm still behind right now. My poor DVR.

Tonight looks like this for me-

7:00- I'm watching Bridezillas on WE.TV. I don't know why I love this show but oh, I do!!! I laugh and laugh. These women say, "I'm the BRIDE," like they have cancer or they are literally dying. They are so entitled.

I am tired and in pain but, I finally got to watch Pushing Daisies. It's fab. FAB! I love it. If you missed it's second airing tonight (last night-Friday) go see if you can watch it on ABC.com. I'll be recapping it here later in the day when I re-watch it and LIVE blog it. Oh yeah, I loved it that much and I have to blog about it.

Dirty Sexy Money- It's So Yummy!

I'm doing BLUE in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I'm sending you to Lainey-Painey's blog to read about it.

Now on to Dirty Sexy Money(DSM)- I like to do what I call LIVE blog when I can. This just means blog while I'm watching the show. I DVR'ed DSM, I'm watching it now and I'm going to write my observations and questions... That's how I do it usually. OK, I had no idea Juliet and Jeremy were twins from last episode. Juliet cracks me up! Awwww, the poor little boy that belongs to Brian Darling. It's kinda funny though when they are getting the hot dog and Brian tells him the orphan cover story.

Can I just say that Donald Sutherland really needs some hair grooming. His eye brows are everywhere and he just needs to run a brush through his hair. And I love (I know this is off the hair subject) the "No, I'm not going to give a check to a tranny hooker" line from last week.

I just cannot imagine being named Darling- or Luke being named that. That would be weird. Right?

How can you be married to a man for 40 years, 40 years, and have the great love of your life be someone else? Someone that you are having an affair with? How could Letitia have an affair with Dutch for all that time... OOOOOHHHHH! I bet one of the kids (Patrick? Brian?) is Dutch's! Hello! Boy was I slow with that one.

Do y'all remember Freddy from Beverly Hills, 90210? He was Matt, Kelly's boyfriend, the lawyer.

I would love for our family to take a formal picture again. We (my mom's side- grandparents, mom's brother and wife) took a portrait so long ago. I need to get all my pictures scanned in so y'all can see. That one is so old- I think I'm in the fourth grade. Justin is too cute in it. None of the other grandkids were born yet! There are 4 more!!

Juliet is so pretty. Is Samaire Armstrong good in anything else? I didn't watch The O.C. She has a vulnerability about her...

Who else felt bad for Tripp when Letitia's birthday opened Dutch's briefcase? What does the paperwork in the briefcase mean? What do you think??
